Watch “ZAZ – Demain c’est toi (vidéo studio)” on YouTube

An internationally famous French singer with a hit for most of her songs.

Her songs/lyrics are even being used in schools to teach French.

This one is particularly moving as the lyrics are words she addresses to her unborn child.

Wishing you all again a very happy gratifying healthy new year!

Demain c’est toi
Zaz
Tomorrow is you
I trace paths that are waiting for you
Je trace des chemins qui n’attendent que toi
To you the child who comes, I precede your steps
À toi l’enfant qui vient, je précède tes pas
I whisper your name in the breath of my voice
Je murmure ton nom dans le souffle de ma voix
I will offer you the world, you I do not know
Je t’offrirai le monde, toi que je ne connais pas
I open my heart wide as you open your hands
Je t’ouvre grand mon cœur comme on ouvre ses mains
I hope you have happiness as big as mine
Je t’espère des bonheurs aussi grands que les miens
Tomorrow is you
Demain c’est toi
I learn the alphabets of each of your actions
J’apprends les alphabets de chacun de tes gestes
I sing you my dreams of spaces and Wild West
Je te chante mes rêves d’espaces et de Far West
I want for you the love, the rare and the precious
Je veux pour toi l’amour, le rare et le précieux
All the beauty of the world at your fingertips
Toute la beauté du monde à portée de tes yeux
Fists heated to white, I’m forging for tomorrow
Les poings chauffés à blanc, je forge pour demain
Your happiness that I wish as big as mine
Tes bonheurs que je souhaite aussi grands que les miens
Tomorrow is you
Demain c’est toi
I give you the keys that open all the chests
Je te donne les clés qui ouvrent tous les coffres
I spray the walls of the prisons that we offer you
Je pulvérise les murs des prisons que l’on t’offre
I run to infinity not to leave you
Je cours à l’infini pour ne pas te laisser
All I did not say is because you know it
Tout c’que je n’t’ai pas dit c’est parce que tu le sais
It’s because you know it
C’est parce que tu le sais
To you the child who comes as a little morning
À toi l’enfant qui vient comme un petit matin
I hope you have happiness as big as mine
Je t’espère des bonheurs aussi grands que les miens
Tomorrow is you

no-electrical-appliances quick & easy vegan chocolate cake

Moist & delicious!
©copyright2014owpp

This is a recipe I found by a vegan/vegetarian blogger (I have searched long for her link to put in here with no success as I follow a lot of bloggers)
Her recipe included ingredients which I do not use as… sugar/rice syrup for me, oil/olive or sesame for me, coconut milk/soy or spelt for me, so I just translated it into my “language”.
I love easy recipes which do not include electrical appliances & ingredients all houses have so I do not need to go out running to find them & this one fitted my criteria.
I was taking time off the blog but this is the exception… I find it important to share a quick-cheap-&-easy recipe that could help others.

Ingredients
———–

1. 3 1/2 cups wholewheat flour
2. 1 1/2 cup pure cocoa (you can use carob powder instead but it’s not as strong a flavor or coffee if you want to change it to a coffee flavored cake)
3. 2 cups rice syrup (sugar for some)
4. 2 tsp. baking powder
5. 400 ml = 13.53 fl. ounces soy milk (spelt or coconut for some)
6. 1 cup oil (olive, sesame any of your choice)
7. 1/4 cup of rum
8. 2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar (optional)
9. 2 tbsp. shredded coconut to sprinkle on top (optional)
10. A few pieces of unsweetened chocolate to put in the muffins (optional)

Method
——

1. Put the dry ingredients in a bowl, mix then add the liquid ingredients (I did not have apple cider vinegar so I did not use it)
2. You can be creative & make muffins out of it as I did, with pieces of chocolate tucked in the middle if you want it fancy, a flat or high cake with or without shredded coconut on top or anything else that tickles your imagination 🙂
It’s as simple as that!
3. Put in a preheated oven on 170 degrees Celsius = 338 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 mn (muffins)
& about 30 mn for the cake as it has more dough.

I’m including below photos of the cakes & of the unsweetened 100% natural chocolate if you want to make your own research to purchase it.

Quick, cheap & easy mock cheese cake recipe

A cup of tea & sheer bliss! ©copyright2013owpp

A cup of tea & sheer bliss!
©copyright2013owpp

This is a very easy recipe with very common and inexpensive ingredients. Besides a blender it doesn’t need any machinery. As I’ve told you in previous posts, I don’t have too much patience nor time for lengthy and complicated recipes.
As I’m on a macrobiotic food plan I don’t eat dairy products so, this is a perfect alternative. The taste is not the one of cheese but it’s nevertheless a delicious cake.
Let me know the results if you feel like venturing in the experience (for the fun) of a cozy Sunday afternoon 🙂

100% Natural-ready to use- face moisturizer… Unrefined Shea butter!

Unrefined Shea butter

I used to make complicated or not so complicated face moisturizers that I had looked up on the internet, there are lots of choices, some great but I got discouraged after another
recipe-flop and realized that the butter itself is brilliant in its pure form!
It melts at body temperature and with the dry skin I have it can only be better as a sole ingredient. I tried it in the evening and lo and behold… magic! The skin is smooth and nourished with hardly any work, just an order on amazon or ebay.

I looked up on Wikipedia Shea butter and they say ( I’m sure you already know this but for those who don’t, here’s the information ) it’s extracted from the nut of an African tree called, Vitellaria Paradoxa, it is edible, something I had not known and used in food preparations in Africa ( at least we know we are not applying poison on our skin 🙂 )

If bought unrefined, it keeps its sunscreen properties equal to number 6 ( that was specified on another site ) and they went on with a list of benefits as Anti-inflammatory, used for management of Sinusitis and relief of nasal congestion, joints aches and aches of other parts of the body which was equally new to me.

I use it on my hands too and if I got a burn or infected wound, I found it cured very fast, now I know why 🙂 if you are interested in the recipe for Shea butter face cream I can post it, just let me know.

Method
——

I bought a kilo of it ( 2 pounds 20 oz. it lasts forever ) put it immediately in the fridge and take out each time a little which I cut with a knife as it hardens once cold, and sterilize a very small glass jar, put a bit inside and after a few hours, being exposed to room temperature it softens and piles up but I can apply it on my face even straight out from the refrigerator as it melts between the fingers.

I hope this tip was useful to you, let me know, feedback is always appreciated, enjoy!

—————

1.   One loaf of dry bread ( the one of your liking )

2.   1 1/2 packet of raisins ( 250 gm = 8.8 ounces, is the amount per packet(!)

3.   4-5-6 Tbsp approx. ( big spoons, the more for the ones who prefer more oil in there food ) of olive or any kind of oil

4.   4 very big apples ( cut in rough slices or more if you want it very sweet )

Organic versus non-organic
©copyright2013owpp

That’s about it!

Method

———-

Throw everything in a big bowl, add boiling water on top of it all, mix and wait 5-10 mn so the bread and other ingredients

become soft, mix again until you get a homogeneous consistency, pour in a covered with baking paper baking tin,  the size in

the  ” Apple cake/Multi-User  recipe ”  ( it is always going to be the same utensils ) flatten it with a spoon and slide in the oven at the usual

heat of 170 Degrees Celsius = 338 Degrees Fahrenheit for about 45 mn but if you want more or less crusty you’ll have to check

a bit before.

Enjoy it warm of cold to take at work or to the park!

I put one in the freezer but some might prefer it fresh.

Two celebrations in one day / Inauguration!/Granola bar 100% Natural recipe

©copyright2013owpp

©copyright2013owpp

I’d like to inaugurate my new category with a first recipe!
” Natural recipes ” will contain anything from natural granola bars to self-made
natural cosmetics. The idea came up, today, when my kids demanded our classical
granola recipe. It was so easy and the ingredient so simple…

Those recipes come naturally to me because I’m so familiar with them so, why not give
some pleasure to those around by posting it?
When I say natural, I mean totally clean and free from, coloring, sugar, margarine…
So, I hope you’ll enjoy this new project of mine and let me know if you ventured
into the realization of those recipes.

I’ll introduce you now to the famous granola recipe.

Ingredients

—————

1.   3 cups of rolled oats ( whichever size you have stick to the same cup throughout the recipe )
2.   1 cup wheat germs ( or, rough Spelt flower or, any type if you don’t mind it less natural )
3.   1 cup roasted or raw sunflower seeds
4.   1/2 cup raw or roasted sesame seeds
5.   1/2 shredded coconut
6.   1/4 cup of oil ( it can even be olive oil, I use extra virgin and no one feels anything )
7.   1/2 cup apple juice unsweetened, ( it is available in all the stores everywhere I imagine )
8.   1 cup raisins
9.   2 cups rice syrup ( or golden syrup, honey, any natural sweetener you have )
Optional: Cinnamon ( just sprinkle overall )
Optional: Ginger powder ( but I don’t use it )

All ingredients I use are usually organic.

Method

———-

Mix it well in a bowl, put in a flat oven tray with paper baking sheet on  ( 2 cm deep = 0.78  inch, 30 cm wide = 11.08  inches, 40 cm long = 15.74 inches )  flatten it with the spoon and put in the oven for 30 minutes on 170 Degrees Celsius or 338 Degrees Fahrenheit ( without heating it beforehand ) after 30-40 mn ( 40 mn is crunchier, 30 mn might be too soft for some, try and see what is to your liking 🙂 ) take it out, cut carefully with sharp knife immediately or it’ll brake,
let it cool, it’ll harden as it loses its heat. My photos are made of a double recipe as I find it keeps very well in a plastic box.

Enjoy!
