Byron Katie Oprah Soul Series Interview part 1 of 3 (all three posted here)

Having been lately down the weather from not exactly the most positive news I looked up for a moral boost on You Tube from one of my favorites… Byron Katie and found this most profound, simple and enlightening short series with Oprah I couldn’t resist posting in order to share her life wisdom with all of you.

According to her philosophy life can be simple and as crystal clear as spring water if only we guide our thoughts accordingly. Let me know if it lifted your spirits as much as it did mine.
Have a lovely weekend!

It is us, it is earth… for we are one

Peeking between the cracks
©copyright2013owpp

We peek between the cracks of infinity & wonder how is it possible
To know the truth which others are strangers too?

We see the world as an untouched birthstone whereas some explore
Its potentials for profit.

We know it as a growing process nary a bleeding one. To love, cherish
& bless every single breath inspired, expired.

We want to live it not kill it so we can go on inhabiting this underestimated
Arcadia .

We have the greed to breathe & pass it on intact as a legacy to our children’s
Delight.

It is green it is pure,
It is blue it is clear,
It grows it flows,
It sings in the day & hums at night,
It cries & hurts enough in natural misfortunes
Without us adding our punch…
It pours love & offers hugs to the indebted,
It is consoling in sadness, rejoicing at birth,
Mostly, it is us, it is earth for we are one.
Born as one, die as one.

Let us not leave it tinted, poisoned by blinded stupidity nor give right
To nightmare’s prophecies but help the dream…

To stay as one.

P.s
I wrote this with a gushing heart & hopeful soul.
We are sitting on a fall, patching up a wounded & bruised
Planet nevertheless I wish that positivity is the message that
Transpires throughout.

Just found this on the news and thought it a beautiful way to celebrate the miracle and gift of life… to end this week on a especially warm note 🙂

Enjoy it!

This video sums up my son’s first year. He was born way too early, and the obstacles he had to overcome were really big, but not bigger than our God.
This is a story of a mother’s love for her baby.
A year ago from this Halloween he came home. I made this video to commemorate his first year and how far he has come. Today happens to be his mother’s birthday… so I made this as a gift to her.
I want to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff all over the world that make it their life’s mission to help babies get better! It’s because of you that my son ever stood a chance to make it home!

Wanting to emanate nature’s perfection

Nature is perfect, it is wise, serene
It brings out the best in us, it gives
Us hope and strength to strive for more
To want to emanate its pulchritude…

Wishing all of you a very good weekend!

If time counted no more

If time counted no more... ©copyright2013owpp

If time counted no more…

If time counted no more I would start afresh
Question my hard earned complacency
Run away from concreted indifference

Live horizons to starry nights
Listen nature’s whisper
Witness day’s promises
Keep company to storms
And rainbows, capture
Forever changing palettes…

Have I misinterpreted wisdom
And blown out the flame
That keeps hope warm
Motivates dawn’s birth
Ignites the sparks
Slaps life out of its torpor?

If time counted no more I would breathe
I would dance I would laugh
As if no tomorrow, no today mattered

Just NOW, ME, LIFE…

Green flies on organically grown plants… can anyone help?

I have asked a blogger that question already but I did not have photos to show.
They were hard to take as my macro is a very basic one but I got some good enough close ups for anyone to have an idea of what I’m talking about.
I tried red pepper juice with soap, vinegar cut with water but they all spoil the leaves which as you know takes a long time to grow.
These little guests come later when the plant has finally had time to grow and you to have become very fond of them.
Anyone with an idea that works without any damage will be gratefully welcomed on this blog and who knows, we might help others in the process 😉

The slip

Sane paradise ©copyright2013owpp

Sane paradise
©copyright2013owpp

It happens, but after a whole year of peaceful food plan it took me by surprise…again.

Life is made of continual adjustments. Visualize a ballet dancer performing on the rooftop of a moving train, will she/he succeed in providing a flawless performance? No. There are bound to be hiccups.

Well, that is just how I felt as I decided to ban fish from my plate. Never used in excess, nevertheless an important protein I was very fond of.

Being a vegan for twenty five years, I have tried in the past to eliminate all “living” foods but could not muster the needed energy to function on a daily basis so, fish became the exception.

Amidst this blissful quietude came the news (see my last post) shaking my now rooted sane habits of a happy normal life, questioning my profound beliefs in substantial foods.

Those are the vibrations I sensed in the soles of my feet, throwing me off balance and bringing skeletons out…the ones so far back in the closet, belonging to a forgotten past, dislocated from a happy present, so strange to my blessed moments, never dreaming it would ever come in to say Hi, how are you, long time no see…

There was no dread, just numbness. I could not recall the despair felt in the past which should have given me the strength to say…Never again! With all the force needed for mettle and slipped for a few days in a stupor classically brought on by overeating.

My answer as always was my pen, the vortex draining my mind from thoughts circumnavigating to no end and leafing through my long forgotten attempts at writing essays on the subject as a jolt to my dazed condition…awakening me to realization.

Through the reading I plunged into a world that did not belong to me anymore, I was scouring through the life of a stranger, the field was so unfamiliar I wondered how my followers took the time to read through the rambling desperation having the kindness to even comment and like .

At the time the confusion, the pain felt very real, the blog becoming my only instrument of relief, allowing me to publish my unpolished thoughts and accept it for what it was, silently begging forgiveness from my readers and gratefully accepting the generosity of their patience.

A place I would rather keep far away and swap for subjects of art close to my heart. Today.

☢ Fukushima: Beyond Urgent ☢

I know…we hate bad knew & would rather focus on the positive but we still need information to know what to do as prevention.
I have stopped eating fish since I heard it in the news. I know they don’t know for sure & will not know for a while how damaging it is for us to eat sea food anywhere around the globe. We will only have that knowledge once the damage is done.
I don’t want my family to be a victim so I take my precautions & replace fish with organically earth growing proteins.
We can all contribute & back-up a cleaner safer world so our kids have a better chance to a, as-normally-safe-childhood as we got. We ow them at least that.

As for now, I’d like to help my fellow bloggers by passing the information http://aristonorganic.com/2013/11/15/fukushima-beyond-urgent/
so kindly put out on her blog.
Even though it is a long & space consuming video, at the bottom of the writings, the publisher suggests we watch further info which I did and was surprised at the amount of info we are totally unaware of, take a look it’s worth your time and effort.

Please share/remix this video. And if you do so, please include the information given below. And if you could give a link through to my original, that would be appreciated. Thanks.

*UPDATE* The following are the words of RadChick (Christina Consolo). I respect her opinion, so please add what she says into the equation:

“I do want to mention that the estimation from Tepco that 300 tons of contaminated water are flowing into the Pacific each day is way too low. Anywhere from 1000-4000 tons flow through the site daily, along with 3-400 tons that Tepco is pouring. How does the bulk of that water magically avoid the corium lava-field underground? I don’t think it does. So the worst case, which should ALWAYS be assumed in a radiological accident with wide implications for public health, and in this case contamination of the entire Pacific Ocean, is that 10x more contaminated water than what Tepco states is flowing into the Pacific. Possible as much as 4000 tons, not 300 as indicated in this video or the ‘official story”. Imo. No one else is talking about this MAJOR discrepancy. We need ground penetrating radar to formulate a plan and get a handle on what is happening”
