We, your mirror and a flash of kindness
———————————————–

Omitting love, kindness and patience from our lives, we are empty barks.
That sees without eyes, walks without feet, hears without ears, feels without a soul and appreciates
but ones pampered ego.

How much does it cost to make another feel welcome with an unexpected call, if only for a few
seconds. Greet them with a genuine smile, a warm Hello?

Just love, kindness and a flash of patience. And by this gesture comes…

A hint of sunshine.
A warm spot for the day.
Zeal in our step.
Wrinkles brushed off a forehead.
Pride in a demeanor.
Back bent under indifference, straightened.
Monotony of a cluttered day and clattered mind, alleviated…

For him, for her, for us.

Next time we go through such a day, remember…
There is someone with a heart wrinkled by the monotony of daily indifference, waiting for that spot of warmth…

Me, you, our fellow, our shadows…

WE.

My liberty-Whispers of nature- Lyrics 1989 Adjusted January 2013

my liberty

my liberty

I hope you will enjoy these lyrics composed and adjusted. It took me ages to figure out some of the functions of Windows 8 but I kept running back and forth between my dying computer as a last resort and this one. I still can’t download photos from ” sky drive ” or the computer files to our good, old and faithful media 🙂

Enjoy this and let me know what you think of it, until then, I hope I’ll have a better knowledge of this ” headache “.

My liberty
————

I note
Melancholy
In your
Voice.

Don’t part.
Your heart
Is mine
Since acridine (1)

Stay with me
My liberty
Won’t lock you
Chain you

In my heart.
Temptation strong.
Won’t go along
To a game

So insane!
Be free
My love
To see

To be
To dance
Take
A chance

Come back
And laugh
Don’t worry
We’ll live and see

Forgive me
My jealousy
Don’t part from me…

My liberty!

Dried fruit cake or muffins/multi-user-dough/Quick & easy/100% Natural & wholemeal if desired

Hi everyone!

I am this time, using my old computer as this file is still in it. Until I get used to my Window8 I hope you’ll bear with me. I feel as if I’m stagnating but in fact, I am learning everyday new functions.
It is a challenge. One side of me wants to get back to the easy Window7 habits yet, another doesn’t feel like giving in so easily. So, it’ll take time but I will be glad to post again on a regular basis as soon as I’m comfortable with it.
Meanwhile, I am posting my Multi-user dough recipe which I had posted previously under the apple cake/quick & easy/100% Natural saying then, the dough could literally change into any cake one fancies. So, I am showing you how it could be used as a dried fruit cake or muffin.

In my last post I wrote…

On this beautiful Sunday morning I would like to give you a very easy apple cake recipe with a dough that could be used for anything your imagination fancies, from sugarless jam layers, to chocolate ( carob powder for the cocoa sensitive ) or plain lemon, vanilla, rum, coffee, orange, almonds, from real or essence flavors, raisins, or raisins and dried fruits as Mango with pineapple and cranberry if you like, which will make it into a English fruit cake! Just use your creative side and innovate! Have fun while exploring, it’s the best way to have good results!

For the Gluten sensitive, there are countries where you can find specific flowers for that purpose, inquire at your local nature shop.
Enjoy and let me know!

Sugarless dried fruit cake

Dough
———

Ingredients

—————

1. 2 1/2 cup 80% white Spelt flour ( Same rule as before, same cup throughout. Any flower you wish if your habits and availabilities are different. It could be wholemeal too. )

2. 1 pinch of salt ( Best from a nature shop but not indispensable )

3. 2 tsp ( Dessert spoon ) Baking powder

4. 1 pinch Baking soda

5. 1/2 cup oil ( As I mentioned before, I use extra virgin olive oil and the taste goes away in the baking or cooking but, anything is good )

6. 1 cup of rice syrup ( Honey, Golden syrup or any natural sweetener )

7. 1 cup of Soda water or sparkling water if you want.

8. 62 gr Dried pineapple cubes, 62 gr Dried mango or papaya, 62 gr Dried raisins = 2.18 oz each ( you can buy them sugarless in a nature shop).

Method

———-

Put all the dried ingredients in your bowl, mix by hand for a second, then add the liquids and turn on your electric mixer for about 4-7 mn (if the dough is not thoroughly mixed the fruits will fall at the bottom in the oven) , the ingredients are likely to stick at the bottom of the bowl too, after, so, before pouring into the tin, mix by hand once or twice.

I’m giving you all these minor details as they tend to be annoying to have to discover on the spot 🙂

Take a baking tin ( I happened to have a 5 cm =2 inches deep, 23 cm = 9.05 inches wide and 32 cm = 12.59 long, and fitted perfectly for the recipe multiplied by 4 as I wanted 3 big loaves ) but anything will do in a loaf shape, don’t be afraid to experiment, even if it’s not perfect at the first try, what a sense of victory when it comes out just right!

Put a baking paper sheet in it, pour your batter in, slide in the oven on 150 degrees Celsius = 302 degrees Fahrenheit, for one hour to one and a quarter. I nevertheless enjoy ” checking ” on it and poke it once with a match or barbecue stainless steal stick to see. If it’s still raw it’ll stick to it. For the muffins it will take only 20-30 mn with a preheated oven. This recipe will give you one small ” loaf ” double the recipe for more.
Serve it warm or cold, it is neater to cut if it’s frozen beforehand but then it is not as fresh, whatever…they’ll bless you for it!

Let me know your opinion about the white and wholemeal version if you’ve tried them both, I am curious 🙂

Trying to get used to Windows8 without success, sorry but can’t post till then :)

Lady of leisure;)

Lady of leisure;)

Hi everyone!

My old computer went into a “coma” far too often and crashed once too many and lost my work so, I have purchased a laptop and made the biggest mistake to take a windows8 which has made my life a misery since.

Five months ago, I painstakingly learnt the whole process of blogging rules and windows7 technology and now it’s all to be done from scratch. The simplest task of copy-paste is non-existent and complicated, I don’t even dare to try anything else when such a minimal procedure becomes impossible.

When a blogger complained about it I was not yet aware to which extent… and the truth of her words, now I am! So, I hope you’ll be patient with me as all my writings are typed and edited in this computer. I have no clue how to get it on my blog nor copy photos that are stored in it.

I might have to install windows7 back as a result. Meanwhile I’ll be taking up my new post as… Lady of leisure 🙂
Just kidding, I don’t think they’ll ever be such a time!

Back and posting! Natural cosmetics, is it possible?

Hi everyone!

Do you remember the time I opened another category under ” Natural recipes ” and promised to post anything from cakes to cosmetics or natural household products recipes?
Well, here it is…
As I mentioned in another post, in the past I had immersed myself for a year and a half in the possibility of living a ” cleaner ” life on a daily basis not only with the foods I was eating which was already a habit but with the products I was using day in day out for the household as much as for the family’s hygiene as soaps, shampoos, creams…
I found on the internet a lot of material which I adapted to my needs, some recipes were amazing, so I suggest you all do your own research too but others I tried were not practical or were too time consuming to produce so, I had to find my own solutions, something faster and more effective which brings me back to the blush problem.

I tried many which were too powdery, sticky, bland… A lot had beetroot powder in, I did my own as I was not yet familiar with Ebay but it was not fine enough so, eventually I got down to ordering on Ebay a packet which was really cheap considering how long it lasts and applied it directly on my moisturizer (of natural unrefined Shea butter with vitamin E I add to it which is very good for the skin as a healing agent) I had applied on my face even though someone had told me it could stay as a permanent color which would not be that tragic, it could save time 😉

Just kidding it never stayed that long and gave a beautiful color if put in small amount obviously.

Much later I got to know about a 98%-100% natural blush which seemed a better option, maybe because we tend to use more the bought stuff which looks professional and appealing to the eye and started using the two, according to my mood.
I’m am sure each country or state must have their own natural cosmetic brand but it could also be bought on the internet.
Mine is called UNE and I found out England and the U.S have their own brand too.

I hope this information was of some value to my readers and would love to hear from your brand if you have one and how you purchased it.

Taking a small pause…

A small pause…

I am taking a small pause of 10 days without blogging to regenerate and recharge my batteries.
Leave, to come back better and last longer.
After an intensely productive, most pleasurable and rewarding 5 months of painting, writing,
composing, editing and posting.

I hope you will forgive my absence and thank you sincerely for all your feedback and support 🙂
I am going to try and keep up with your posts and like.

Le grande bleu / The big blue short video

This is the only video I could find which is good but not the entire film.It was very popular at the time. The only thing I would have changed, is its ending which is quite tragic. It is very poetic, artistic and mostly directed to lovers of nature.

I quote Wikipedia that gives a summary of the story.

Enzo and Jacques have known each other from their native village, when their passion was diving. One day, the father of Jacques killed while diving. Years later, Jacques tested by scientists, who find that his body when he dives into icy water, like that of a dolphin appears to react. The experiments in the present Johanna (played by Rosanna Arquette ) falls for the mysterious dolphin-man, and follows him to Italy. Enzo ( Jean Reno ), now diving world champion, Jacques challenged to a game, because he knows that this is the only diver in the world who could beat him. In this competition the men exceed the limits of human potential and find Jacques finally home.

The deep blue- English prose and acrylic painting “Le grand bleu”-February 2013

The French title of my recent painting was inspired by a film I had seen quite a while back called Le grand bleu” which, if I find on you tube will only be able to be posted if it has English subtitles. It was very popular at the time. The only thing I would have changed, is its ending which is quite tragic. It is very poetic, artistic and mostly directed to lovers of nature.
This prose is a tribute to the ocean.

The deep blue
—————–

I see you
Crash in foam
Die on shores
Dissipate, vanish

To the deep blue
Abyss where lies
The mysteries of
Ancient history

Bury in the
Protective embrace
Of natures singularities
Whisper to its constancy

Roam through its jewels
Confer with the council
Breathe nimbus of glory
Oxygenate your inhabitation.

I look for boundaries
There are none…
Search for strain
Vanity or fame

But all I see is you
Crash on the shores
Scatter and evanesce

Embrace the deep blue.

Those in need
—————-

Moment of subaqueous
Distress you lift your
Eyes with conviction
Of being heard.

Vigor in double amount
To care for those
In need, give them
A sanctuary

Sooth their wounds
Heal their souls
Iron the crinkled folds
Of their shredded lives

Strength for others
Not your own.
When nothing is left
Besides throes, regrets

For those you cannot
Cushion anymore.
Love aches
Debilitating situation

Is it miscalculation,
The best of the worst?
Simple becomes complicated
Pensile questions

Dull throb.
Let the waves wash
Over, cleans your
Spirit, make things

Right, coach you.
Give you dexterity
For greatness.
Merit and prerogative.

Conveyance and guidance
For the suffering
Promise to hold them
Tight and love

Forever and ever.
To subsume, aver
The love you have…

For you.

Solitude,
My quell,
A gift
Reposing allay

The certitude
And joy
Of being.
No strings

Preparing

Taking

Small steps
Milestones
Throwing away
Peripeteia

Certitude
My own.
Joy appeased
The gift of…
