Life in general posted by Dr Bill Wooten

life

I hardly ever re-blog but these pearls of wisdom I found on http://drbillwooten.com/2014/04/29/life-in-general/#comment-5530 were screaming to be published further on!

“Feelings of suffering change into those of happiness. Feelings of happiness change into suffering. Both arise in dependence upon internal and external causes which change. For example, we see food as pleasurable, but if we eat too much, then it causes suffering. When we are young, we see our bodies as a source of pleasure. As we become older, the same body becomes a source of suffering. Just as a wave is always changing, so the nature of suffering is always to change. It may be experienced as pleasure or as suffering, but it arises from the same source. Pleasure arises from suffering. Seeing pleasure as happiness constitutes suffering. …Pain and pleasure are of the same nature. Although they look different at different times, they both arise from the same sea of delusion and karmic action. Pleasure or pain, one or the other, arises and then falls back into the ocean. Thus we can conclude that pleasure and pain within the ocean of samsara are basically suffering, and dissolve into suffering. This becomes evident in the wide variety of sudden changes of experience depicted in films. Love and hatred, happiness and family strife, peace and war, follow each other in rapid succession. The continuous change, although exaggerated in films, is characteristic of life in general”.

How Wolves Change Rivers

This video is fascinating to watch in the sense that one realizes the delicate balance of Ecology… the powerful role & contribution as a consequence of each & every animal.
It has enlightened me & hope it’ll have the same effect on you 🙂

NOTE: There are “elk” pictured in this video when the narrator is referring to “deer.” This is because the narrator is British and the British word for “elk” is “red deer” or “deer” for short. The scientific report this is based on refers to elk so we wanted to be accurate with the truth of the story.

When wolves were reintroduced to Yellowstone National Park in the United States after being absent nearly 70 years, the most remarkable “trophic cascade” occurred. What is a trophic cascade and how exactly do wolves change rivers? George Monbiot explains in this movie remix.

Jean Jacques Goldman Un Tour Ensemble 2002 (Amazing live concert)

Jean Jacques Goldman is a brilliant artist. A singer, song writer, composer & exceptional musician. He started singing because he couldn’t find anyone to sing his songs the way he wanted. He was thrown onstage Malgré lui. (despite himself)
He is an artist that counts his blessings which is very rare & a free one with that… he’s responsible for his shows, his songs are non-commercial & his lyrics broaches all topics, he rarely speaks about love, is very poetical & dares to write what other would not.

Even though it’s a long video (taking space) I thought it worthwhile to share this artist with all of you 🙂

Courtesy of Wikipedia… Jean-Jacques Goldman (French pronunciation: [ʒɑ̃.ʒak ɡɔldˈman]; born 11 October 1951) is a Grammy Award-winning French singer-songwriter. He is hugely popular in the French-speaking world, and since 2003 has been the second-highest-grossing French living pop-rock singer, after Johnny Hallyday. In the 1990s, he was part of the trio Fredericks Goldman Jones with a string of hits.

Shell-passion is an aftermath of the grain, wind, foam…

Simple pleasures…
©copyright2014owpp

Shells are a passion that comes as an aftermath
Of the grain, wind, foam, the light & sounds…
The Movement.
I managed to find a concave of forgiveness & peace
To perceive art in refuse but when discovering some
Pay a heavy fine… sadness & compassion floods in
Yet is accompanied by the understanding that nature
Prevails, all it needs is a thumbs up & a bit of trust
In its recovery.

P.S I have taken these photos in about three different times so the fish was in one batch & the bird in another.
I’m mentioning what might seem a detail but is not… the situation was not so bad as to have found it all at once
and the pleasure in the other pictures far exceeded hence my belief in nature prevailing.
Nature is beautiful, with it we can live… in its true sense of the word. I must say that I got a few laughs out of passerby’s when they saw me crawling on four with waves catching me by surprise for the shell photos 🙂
