Natural Organic gluten free Sesame & pumpkin seeds snack delicacy

Naturalpumpkin-sesame-seeds-delicacy-2017-2-1

This recipe is even easier than the last one I just posted.
No nuts to crack open.
In my twenty plus years in macrobiotic I was taught that sesame seeds give more calcium to the body than milk considering that milk gives but takes a lot away in the process, & pumpkin cleans out the liver.
This might give you the extra incentive to try out these recipes considering it’s a perfect alternative to the ready made junk we all use today.

Enjoy it! Let me know, I’d very much appreciate the feedback:)

Ingredients.
———–

1. 2 Tbsp. Organic whole sesame seeds (you can use the regular white one too)
2. 1 Tbsp. Organic rice syrup (honey or any other sweetener)
3. 1 Tbsp. fresh organic ginger juice (that’s optional. I don’t always have the patience to grate & squeeze out the juice but I like the sharp edge it gives to it)

Roast the seeds on small fire on high for 30/50 seconds stirring it all the time as it can easily burn.

Enjoy it with a hot cup of tea coffee or herbal beverage čÖé

┬ęcopyright2014owpp

I made today waffles so that I could take photos to post the recipe to all of you.
My machine is quite old so I had a bit of a sticky problem but with a good one it’s quick & easy, the recipe is all natural & the more you practice the faster it gets.

1. 2 1/2 cups 75% organic Spelt flour (or regular) 3 cup if you want it more consistent
2. 1/4 to 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil (or anything you have at home) less would feel lighter

Mix it in a small bowl by hand, spray the machine with oil then turn it on to preheat, pour the batter gently, close the lid & wait till the light goes green then, carefully ease it out & put on a plate.
I used sweet cooked apples to accompany it & poured rice syrup on the waffles but you must be familiar with all the other options out there as icing sugar, ice cream, strawberries & whipped cream… as usual I encourage you to create some of your own ideas it gives it a personal touch.
Here’s the very simple cooked sweet apples recipe.

Easiest cheapest 100% natural organic cr├¬pe/pancake recipe

And... voila! ┬ęcopyright2014owpp

And… voila!
┬ęcopyright2014owpp

I know there are a load of you who know how to do cr├¬pes (French-thinner-pancakes) courtesy of Wikipedia…

A cr├¬pe or crepe (Listeni/kre╔¬p/[1] or /kr╔Ťp/ French: [k╩ü╔Ťp] ( listen), Quebec French: [k╩üa╔¬╠»p] ( listen)) is a type of very thin pancake, usually made from wheat flour (cr├¬pes de Froment) or buckwheat flour (galettes). The word is of French origin, deriving from the Latin crispa, meaning “curled”. While cr├¬pes are often associated with Brittany, a region in the northwest of France, their consumption is widespread in France, Belgium, Quebec and many parts of Europe and North Africa. Cr├¬pes are served with a variety of fillings, from the most simple with only sugar to flamb├ęed cr├¬pes Suzette or elaborate savoury galettes.

But as it’s a simplified recipe I have adjusted to my dietary needs as, no-sugar-eggs-dairy… I thought this one might be of some help to those who follow the same organic wholesome food plan but for those who don’t, just switch back to sugar, plain flour or any oil you have čÖé
You can’t get anything easier or faster & it’s a load of fun to do with your kids or grand-kids so… here you go!

Small pan & ladle ┬ęcopyright2014owpp

Small pan & ladle
┬ęcopyright2014owpp

Ingredients (for about ten small ones)
—————-

1. 2 1/2 cups 75% whole Spelt flour (or just plain)
2. 2 1/4 cups water
3. 1 to 2 tsp. extra virgin olive oil (or anything on hand)
4. 1 tsp. organic baking powder (optional)

The swiveling... ┬ęcopyright2014owpp

The swiveling…
┬ęcopyright2014owpp

Method
——

Mix well the two first ingredients & add baking powder just before putting it in pan, mix very well too.
Heat frying pan (I have an old small one but it’s the only one I know how to work with for my pancakes)
put a heaped teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil (but you can use any available) put your (small) flame
on high first then switch to between-high & low after about 4 minutes, pour a small ladle of batter slowly
(once the oil is hot you should hear it sizzling as it touches the pan) while swiveling the pan to even it
out then wait about a minute (you’ll get the feel of how long with the time) flip it over with a fork or
as a chef would do with a swift hand-motion then once it’s ready slide it on a plate.

First side happening…
┬ęcopyright2014owpp

I chose this time to serve it as a snack with rice syrup spread on it, rolled it & poured a little on too,
but I have served it in many different ways in the past as with minced seitan (vegetarian meat) as a filling
& creamed mushrooms as the topping or with a creamy wok as a filling… but all you have to do is use your creativity & improvise anything you desire as ice cream on the side with whipping creme & chocolate syrup on top of the pancake…

I hope the photos will make the instructions easier but mainly, have a load of fun & Bon app├ętit!

no-electrical-appliances quick & easy vegan chocolate cake

Moist & delicious! ┬ęcopyright2014owpp

Moist & delicious!
┬ęcopyright2014owpp

This is a recipe I found by a vegan/vegetarian blogger (I have searched long for her link to put in here with no success as I follow a lot of bloggers)
Her recipe included ingredients which I do not use as… sugar/rice syrup for me, oil/olive or sesame for me, coconut milk/soy or spelt for me, so I just translated it into my “language”.
I love easy recipes which do not include electrical appliances & ingredients all houses have so I do not need to go out running to find them & this one fitted my criteria.
I was taking time off the blog but this is the exception… I find it important to share a quick-cheap-&-easy recipe that could help others.

Chocolate oozing out…
┬ęcopyright2014owpp

Ingredients
———–

1. 3 1/2 cups wholewheat flour
2. 1 1/2 cup pure cocoa (you can use carob powder instead but it’s not as strong a flavor or coffee if you want to change it to a coffee flavored cake)
3. 2 cups rice syrup (sugar for some)
4. 2 tsp. baking powder
5. 400 ml = 13.53 fl. ounces soy milk (spelt or coconut for some)
6. 1 cup oil (olive, sesame any of your choice)
7. 1/4 cup of rum
8. 2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar (optional)
9. 2 tbsp. shredded coconut to sprinkle on top (optional)
10. A few pieces of unsweetened chocolate to put in the muffins (optional)

Ready for oven ┬ęcopyright2014owpp

Ready for oven
┬ęcopyright2014owpp

Method
——

1. Put the dry ingredients in a bowl, mix then add the liquid ingredients (I did not have apple cider vinegar so I did not use it)
2. You can be creative & make muffins out of it as I did, with pieces of chocolate tucked in the middle if you want it fancy, a flat or high cake with or without shredded coconut on top or anything else that tickles your imagination čÖé
It’s as simple as that!
3. Put in a preheated oven on 170 degrees Celsius = 338 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 mn (muffins)
& about 30 mn for the cake as it has more dough.

I’m including below photos of the cakes & of the unsweetened 100% natural chocolate if you want to make your own research to purchase it.

Natural creamy toothpaste fast & easy recipe

┬ęcopyright2014owpp

┬ęcopyright2014owpp

Since I started to make two years ago my own clean & organic toothpaste I look on the regular one as soap which might seem weird to some but I imagine it is a matter of habit & this has become mine.
I’ve wanted to give you the recipe for quite a while but I had a lot left and no photos from the last batch.

It seems providence decided otherwise when the jar broke čśë so here goes the recipe…

Ingredients
———-

1. 6 Tbsp. (heaped) organic Arrowroot or rice flour (cheaper)
2. 5 tsp. Baking soda
3. 4 tsp. (flat) organic virgin Coconut oil or Shea butter if that’s what you have at home, it’s cheaper too (I quote Wikipedia “In some African countries such as Benin, Shea butter is used for cooking oil”)
4. 1/2 to 1 tsp. peppermint oil (I like it strongly flavored so I put 42 drops)
5. 6 Tbsp. Glycerin

┬ęcopyright2014owpp

┬ęcopyright2014owpp

Method
——

1. Put all the ingredients in a small bowl, mix until smooth
2. Put in a clean glass or plastic container & label it with date (in my experience it never got bad)

Let me know if you try it I would love to know about it!

Last of Easy-Party-recipe series (Part 4) Quick-cheap-Simple & easy treats & ideas

pop corn-1-

Who isn’t familiar with the good old bowl of pop corn but as easy as it may seem, I have burnt quite a few batches until I got it right and the first thing to think about is the pot that’ll make it happen.
It has to be air-tight so the corn can pop. Mine is so old, the handle has gone there’s even a small hole there instead but I cannot throw it because it has become my pop-corn-pot!
You need to cover generously the bottom layer with oil (I use olive & as usual nobody notices) and pour generously a bottom layer of organic corn grains (the video I posted in my blog has terrified me of anything GMO) but not too much or it’ll overflow!
I put it on maximum temperature, wait till I hear it popping furiously until it gets less then bring it down to a 5-6 which is a Medium flame (for gas) then wait some more for the noise to quieten down until it’s just a few pops and turn it off completely, shake the pot to hear if all grains have popped & it doesn’t rattle then, take off the lid so the steam doesn’t get a chance to soak the pop corn, pour in a steel bowl and add salt immediately or it won’t stick when cold.
You can choose to make a caramelized flavor but that’s more work so I hardly do it, but paprika powder or pili-pili is a good choice too.

Here’s another idea…

Boiled Spirelli salad with chunks of tuna, boiled organic green beans and pickled cucumber for those who like that seasoned with olive oil salt and black pepper.
We added an avocado-tomato-cucumber-pickled cucumber and grated carrots salad but I didn’t think it was relevant for the blog it was just something extra for the party.
All the other plates on the table have been posted previously in the natural-recipe category so, this is the last of my Easy-Party-recipe series. I hope you enjoyed it!

Thanks for all the feedback, likes and comments, it’s genuinely appreciated čÖé

Easy Party recipe (Part 3) Delicious 100% natural pizza!

Pizza served!
┬ęcopyright2013owpp

I use the yeast dough recipe that I posted for my chocolate roll which is totally delicious, it’s a sweet bread dough that has many possibilities , again… you can use the link for that recipe;

pizza dough spread-1-

This recipe is not one of my easiest ( I had to let the dough rise. That’s all ;)) but itÔÇÖs nourishing, a good 100% natural pizza (if that’s what you choose) for recess, parties, birthdays or work. All in all, IÔÇÖd say itÔÇÖs
a recipe worth doing every once in a while.
I use the bread machine on dough program, to mix it and let it rise. ItÔÇÖs quicker, but you can do it
the ÔÇŁ longer ÔÇťWay the only difference with the machine is, that it requires dried yeast.

Enjoy the experience!

Let it mix and rise (it takes about 1 1/2 hrs.) then roll out on baking paper.
Spread organic tomato puree on top with black pepper, oregano, pili-pili if you like it sharp, paprika powder & shredded cheese or tofu cheese. A bit of salt if the tomatoes are not salted. The spreadings are all optional. You can choose anything from organic veg. (mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, organic corn…) to cheese & slide the dough with the baking paper on oven tray.

Put in oven at 150 Degrees Celsius = 302 Degrees Fahrenheit, check after twenty minutes (I always prefer to be safe than sorry)
Let 10 more mn. if necessary.

Enjoy doing it, it’s really fun! Let me know your results!

Marble cake ┬ęcopyright2013owpp

Marble cake
┬ęcopyright2013owpp

Do you remember when I posted quite a while back this brilliant dough recipe where it can be used for practically anything? From chocolate, raisins, poppy-seeds, lemon, coffee, carrot, almond or English fruit cake… anything your heart desires! All needed is to stamp it with your own creativity čÖé
It is sugar-egg-coloring-additive-free & as usual with extra virgin olive oil & 80% wholemeal spelt flour but you can change it to un-natural if you prefer.
I had then posted my dried fruit version in a cake & muffins possibility, now I’m introducing to you the photos of the marble, chocolate & raisins ones but as I’d baked it the same day & didn’t have time to let it cool down and be refrigerated, they crumbled a bit so, my apologies for that!

For the flavors I put a little in, eg. cocoa & give it for someone to taste & add more if necessary.
