Watch “ZAZ – Demain c’est toi (vidéo studio)” on YouTube

An internationally famous French singer with a hit for most of her songs.

Her songs/lyrics are even being used in schools to teach French.

This one is particularly moving as the lyrics are words she addresses to her unborn child.

Wishing you all again a very happy gratifying healthy new year!

Demain c’est toi
Zaz
Tomorrow is you
I trace paths that are waiting for you
To you the child who comes, I precede your steps
I whisper your name in the breath of my voice
I will offer you the world, you I do not know
I open my heart wide as you open your hands
I hope you have happiness as big as mine
Tomorrow is you
Demain c’est toi
I learn the alphabets of each of your actions
I sing you my dreams of spaces and Wild West
I want for you the love, the rare and the precious
All the beauty of the world at your fingertips
Fists heated to white, I’m forging for tomorrow
Your happiness that I wish as big as mine
Tomorrow is you
Demain c’est toi
I give you the keys that open all the chests
I spray the walls of the prisons that we offer you
I run to infinity not to leave you
All I did not say is because you know it
Tout c’que je n’t’ai pas dit c’est parce que tu le sais
It’s because you know it
C’est parce que tu le sais
To you the child who comes as a little morning
I hope you have happiness as big as mine
Tomorrow is you
Demain c’est toi

Loch na Lathaich in abstract

Hi everyone! This is today’s work,

one of my new projects.
A night shot with slow shutter speed on Loch na Lathaich Isle of Mull that came out so nice it was perfect for abstract work.
As a second layer it still has a long way to go.
Will keep you updated… Please check and like my Facebook page at: Life Paintings

Mother/newborn I video

A moment of grace dedicated to all mothers in the world.
Their patience and unconditional love is nothing short of miraculous!
My first video of one of my paintings. I find it is easier to show details that way . This one belongs to the mother/newborn collection I am still busy with.
A realistic painting I sketched in 2012 and picked back up in 2015.
The energy between mother and newborn and the display of light and shadow was a priority.
They play a major role in the atmosphere of this exceptional moment captured on my camera.
Mastering different techniques is a very enriching experience.
That is why I continue experimenting as much as possible.

P.S I have no idea why the video came out so long I have a hard time to see it in full on my laptop but on my phone I do so please excuse the technicalities as I am still new at this.
Thank you!

The bonfire. A glimpse into my working space

There still is a lot more work to be done on this one but I wanted to keep you updated with the stages it’s going through.
Here, I am using extra strong gel medium to even out the texture and “nooks and crannies” of each flame which is a work of patience that I’ll have to take in my stride especially after just recovering from the flue. This is the last project of my bonfire collection.

You can check the first ones in this blog by typing in the search sidebar Bonfire and scrolling down to check the four…

Please excuse any mistakes in this post as it is the first time I am not using my laptop to do it.

It’s a great relief to have worked out how to be able to post from anywhere.

Any suggestions or tips would be welcomed and truly helpful ☺

Video & photo of new oil painting project

New project

New project

Working on a new project on 100/160 canvas.
This is the second canvas I am using in this size, the first being in acrylic.
Oil painting is far more challenging.
Having said that, I love my work. Artists are given the liberty to feel like a child while acting like an adult… I rarely share the beginnings of my projects, I’d rather show the end product, it kind of takes off the pressure as some can take as long as two years but for one reason or another this time was an exception maybe in order to celebrate my first oil painting on such a big scale…

Amazing Lives – Coma Miracle – patients in a coma are being woken with a sleeping drug

If this post could help or give the slightest hope to one person out there, it would have been worthwhile. I would consider myself the luckiest & privileged to have stumbled upon this video.
Here, patients locked in a vegetative state are miraculously being woken with a sleeping drug called, Stilnox a South African brand name for Zolpidem.

Published on 2 Jul 2014
In a small South African town, patients locked in a vegetative state are miraculously being woken with a sleeping drug. Dr Wally Nel, the local GP who stumbled upon this phenomenon, has now helped hundreds of brain damaged patients and may be the verge of an extraordinary medical breakthrough. The film contains a television first when Diana, a woman locked in a barely conscious state speaks for the first time in three years. It also features Louis, the first patient woken by the drug seven years ago. A new brain scan reveals some startling results which suggest that the sleeping pill may actually trigger regeneration of brain cells.

How plastic bags are used to save the lives of premature babies

This is the very short but extraordinary story. A proof that sometimes small ideas can make big differences. The ones that can save a life.

How plastic bags are used to save the lives of premature babies

Pink, tiny and birdlike, doctors did not expect newborn Pixie Griffiths-Grant to survive longer than an hour.
Delivered three months premature by Caesarean section, she was lighter than half a bag of sugar and smaller than her mother’s hand.
As she was rushed to intensive care, her parents faced the devastating prospect she may not make it.
But doctors saved her life by immediately bundling her into put her into a Tesco sandwich bag, which kept her warm and mimicked the conditions of her mother’s womb.
After overcoming infections, operations, and blood transfusions, Pixie, now five months old, is at home with her family, and is thriving.

Pixie’s mother Sharon Grant, 37, said: ‘As soon as she was born, they gave her a little hat and put her straight into the bag to keep her body temperature up.
‘After that they wrapped her in bubble wrap and got her straight to intensive care.
‘It was so random that they had her in the Tesco bag – it must have just been what the operating theatre had at the time.’
Mrs Grant, of Goonhavern, Cornwall, was forced to give birth three months early after scans revealed her unborn baby had stopped growing in the womb at just 20 weeks.

The first-time mother, who runs Floral Fancies florist in Perranporth, Cornwall, said: ‘My placenta and umbilical cord weren’t feeding her properly.
‘I was in and out of hospital for eight weeks being scanned constantly to see if she had grown, but she put on about 20g in those eight weeks.
‘It was so scary having to get her checked all the time and I had all the doctors telling me all this bad news. It was awful.
‘They wanted to get her to a certain weight before they delivered her, but she wasn’t growing to that size.’
At about 6pm on May 11 – 28 weeks into her pregnancy – doctors told Mrs Grant that she needed to have her baby that day.
