It is not easy to juggle two different types of Media facilities (Instagram LIFE_PAINTINGS) at least for my generation, born with computers being a rarity 😉
Nevertheless, I finally got down to post my latest work!
I’m curious & excited to get your feedback for this one.
I enjoyed so much the whole process that I got straight back on to another project after that!
The stars are faithful to the Jackson Pollock method which I find myself gravitate toward from time to time…
Here are the 1st & 2nd Gesso layer.

Horses & sea… life’s canvas when words do not suffice

Horse art…

I have always been fascinated by three powerful forces of nature (among others but those are my favorite) horses, dolphins and the sea but as the second is inaccessible to me unless I go to these infamous shows, I content myself with the two which is why I have come up today with the best of my collection in the hope it’ll speak to you as much as it did to me when I picked up my lens.
It is what I do when trying to convey what words cannot, when they do not suffice…
But the ultimate in my eyes would be to immortalize the same moments with them galloping in the wild.
It is indeed a beautiful & soothing visualization exercise 😉

A important detail:
The photos were taken on the spur of a magical moment, there was no setting of scenery.

Which one do you elect as your favorite?

Shells are a passion that comes as an aftermath
Of the grain, wind, foam, the light & sounds…
The Movement.
I managed to find a concave of forgiveness & peace
To perceive art in refuse but when discovering some
Pay a heavy fine… sadness & compassion floods in
Yet is accompanied by the understanding that nature
Prevails, all it needs is a thumbs up & a bit of trust
In its recovery.

P.S I have taken these photos in about three different times so the fish was in one batch & the bird in another.
I’m mentioning what might seem a detail but is not… the situation was not so bad as to have found it all at once
and the pleasure in the other pictures far exceeded hence my belief in nature prevailing.
Nature is beautiful, with it we can live… in its true sense of the word. I must say that I got a few laughs out of passerby’s when they saw me crawling on four with waves catching me by surprise for the shell photos 🙂

©copyright2014owpp

Strolling along the sea our eyes were caught by
Your struggle with sand and foam flapping uselessly
Your altered colored wings…we then gently held
Them between our thumb & index to place you under
The protection of the dunes where you clung to the
Dry weeds grasping with all your might succeeding
To flap your wings once again rendering your freedom

And ours…

Peaking: A Big Wave Surfer’s Perspective – Carlos Burle – Part (2/6)

I loved the way this surfer philosophizes and describes his life, passion and fears. It is deep and meaningful. The waves and scenery are spectacular, the colors and movement couldn’t be captured on canvas as it’s forever changing… every split of a second… the essence of its beauty is the constant change through motion.
Enjoy it!

Unusually striped jelly fish!

We were strolling peacefully
Along the beach, wind blowing
Sun hibernating… When this
Jelly Fish caught our attention.
We swiftly “stole” the moment
Into our pocket of treasures,
Locking it safely in our prized
Collection…

Of family history.

The deep blue- English prose and acrylic painting “Le grand bleu”-February 2013

Le grand bleu Dec.2012 ©copyright2013owpp

Le grand bleu Dec.2012
©copyright2013owpp

The French title of my recent painting was inspired by a film I had seen quite a while back called Le grand bleu” which, if I find on you tube will only be able to be posted if it has English subtitles. It was very popular at the time. The only thing I would have changed, is its ending which is quite tragic. It is very poetic, artistic and mostly directed to lovers of nature.
This prose is a tribute to the ocean.

The deep blue
—————–

I see you
Crash in foam
Die on shores
Dissipate, vanish

To the deep blue
Abyss where lies
The mysteries of
Ancient history

Bury in the
Protective embrace
Of natures singularities
Whisper to its constancy

Roam through its jewels
Confer with the council
Breathe nimbus of glory
Oxygenate your inhabitation.

I look for boundaries
There are none…
Search for strain
Vanity or fame

But all I see is you
Crash on the shores
Scatter and evanesce

Embrace the deep blue.

My little big brother Dec 2011 English poem with its French original text

My little big brother
———————

Crouching
In a corner
Of the kitchen
You take care
Of your whitened sheet
A determined
And applied air
You play
Without guile
On your very wise
Face
Peace wanders

A fresh air
Of nearly indecent
Innocence,
Of your childhood
Just beginning.
I approach very closely
In silence
Your darkened sheet
With dense numbers
Mathematics
Your hobby.
An automatic reflex.

I dream
Of a truce
In my nightmare
And I fall
By chance
On a brother
That “lays”
The genius
Without pleasing
Without denying

—————

A thousand years
Forwards
I take a walk
In the town
Of Tel Aviv
Where you lead
The step
Head high
Without failing
Toward a sea
Where the waves
Whisper softly

Where is hidden
The imaginary
And I tell you
This feeling
That never lies
But you smile.
Calmness
Like a palm
Honors
Your face.
The scenery.
No flattery
Do you “bite”

But it is the truth
That hit me
Your sense of pride
Touched me
I found back
Your very marked
Personality
Of the past.
A wave
Of softness
As a probe
Engraves my heart
Erases all pain
Eliminates fear.

With dignity
At your side
I can walk
For eternity.
Never will I forget
This privileged moment
Buried in the past
Dusted away
To compose
This poem
Slightly bohemian
To celebrate
A sacred bond.

Like the sea
You will have a place
That never erases
Not with time
Anchored in the blood
And I realized
That forever
I will call you
Tall and proud,

My little big brother!

Mon petit grand frère
———————–

Accroupi
Dans le coin
De la cuisine
Tu prends soin
De ta feuille blanchie
Un air appliqué
Et decide
Tu t’amuses
Sans ruse.
Sur ton visage
Trés sage
Erre une paix
Un air tout frais
De l’innocence
Presque indecente
De ton enfance,
A peine commencée.

J’avance tout près.
En silence
Ta feuille noircie
De chiffres denses
Les mathématiques
Ton hobby.
Reflex automatique.
Je rêve
D’une trêve
Dans mon cauchemar.
Et je tombe
Au hasard
Sur un frère
Qui pond
Du génie
Sans plaire
Sans déni

———

Mille ans
En avant,
Je me promène
Dans la ville
De Tel Aviv
Où tu mènes
Le pas
Tête haute
Sans faute
Vers une mer
Où les vagues
Chuchotent tout bas

Où se terre
L’imaginaire
Et je te dis
Ce sentiment
Qui, jamais ne ment
Mais tu souris.
Le calme
Comme une palme
Honore
Ton visage.
Le paysage.
Aucune flatterie
Tu ne mords

Mais c’est la vérité
Qui m’a frappée
Ta fierté
M’a touchée
J’ai retrouvée
Ta personnalité
Très marqué
Du passé.
Une onde
De douceur
Comme une sonde
Grave mon cœur
Efface toute douleur
Elimine la peur.

Avec dignité
A tes cotés
Je peux marcher
Pour l’éternité.
Jamais je n’oublierais
Ce moment privilégié
Enfoui dans le passé
Dépoussiérer
Pour composer
Ce poème
Un peu bohème
Pour célébrer
Un lien sacré.

Comme la mer
Tu auras une place
Qui ne s’efface
Ni avec le temps
Ancré dans le sang,
Et j’ai réalisée
Qu’à tout jamais
Je t’appellerais
Toute haute et fière

Mon petit grand frère !
