Turbulences soon coming up in bigger version… & opening of new online shop at Saatchi Art

Turbulences

Proudly presenting…
Turbulences. 30/30cm 3.1/2 cm deep.
Forces of nature always fascinated me, tornadoes are one of them.
A demonstration of raw power par excellence.
Having said that I’d rather stick to my canvas than approaching one of them.

Please scroll down for close ups…
Notice the movement & metallic colors used to convey the electrifying energy emanating from
a stormy atmosphere.
Extra strong gel medium was used to produce the relief.

Having had a good feedback on this small version, my next project will be a much bigger one…

Thank you all so much for your continual support.
Your visits, likes & comments are most valuable to me!

I want to take this opportunity to announce the opening of my new online shop on Saatchi Art (I encountered too many technical difficulties on Etsy when they lately changed their rules)
Will keep you updated as soon as I have the time to feed my account with photos of my painting collections.

I was preparing myself a plate of organic greens washing the earth off & noticed the colour contrast, the beauty of fresh food which lead me to a photo shoot craze… There was no photoshop involved besides the middle one where I played a bit with the colour.
Which one is your favorite?

Bonfire finished in 100/140cm!

Bombfire final layer 100-140cm
©copyright2014owpp

I did it! Do you remember? In November I posted a small canvas of a bomb-fire saying I intended to go much bigger, 100/140 cm (39.3/55.1 inches) see, https://oawritingspoemspaintings.wordpress.com/2014/11/09/my-bonfire-painting-from-sketch-to-canvas-still-growing/ well, I finally finished it & want to share with you the first to final stages.
It came out different & on my art teacher’s advice I’m keeping it that way, I can always make a bigger replica of the smaller one later on.
Each work is like tearing off a gift’s wrapping wondering what’s going to be inside, the results never fail to surprise you… it usually takes you to paths never explored before.
I loved the warmth that emanates from this one, what do you think?

Continuation of “our chick pea experience”

Now that I have my brand new gardening section I have the incentive to share my previous attempts at it.
This is the continuation of our chick pea experience which you can check here…
https://oawritingspoemspaintings.wordpress.com/2013/07/09/our-chick-peas-experience/ we managed to grow one chick pea out of the whole plant which is a far cry from proper gardening (let’s put it this way, it won’t feed the family!) but that one was just as exciting as the pepper we discovered two days ago 🙂
If anybody had a successful try at it, I’d be more than happy to take the advice!
I took photos of the maturation process, just scroll down…
Have a relaxing weekend 🙂

This shot came as a surprise, it was only after I had taken it that I noticed the remarkable resemblance between the three so, I’m posting this to gratify the day with a sparkle of humor 🙂

Nominated for three awards at once…Thank you!

the lighthouse award

very inspiring blogger award

awsome blossom award

I feel very honored & privileged to come back with three awards in a row given so generously from
http://acuriousmind2013.wordpress.com/2014/03/04/very-inspiring-blogger-award-the-lighthouse-award-and-plus-one-%E2%98%BA/
Every time I get an award I’m as delighted as the first & surprised that bloggers would think my blog worthy of the tittles showered upon.
I’ll always be very grateful for this show of trust so, thank you to all who have until now believed in my work!

So, now for the lighthouse award I will share three ways I like to help people…

1. I like to lend an ear & find together with the person a practical solution to her dilemma.
2. Feel very honored to help a sweet old lady in the store when she picks me out of the crowd to help her with the smaller writings on a product.
3. And last but not least, as I consider my kids to be people too that come first on my list of priorities I want to be there for them 24/7 in case they need me.

Now, for the very inspiring blogger award seven trivial things about me… Mmm, that might be hard 🙂

1. I worry more than I should… but music can be the escape
2. I believe life should be far less complicated than we make it
3. I’d like things to sail smoothly but reality hits every time to remind me it’s breathing & alive 😉
4. I’d love to be surrounded by nature day in day out
5. I think it’s of utmost importance to appreciate every moment of the day but don’t always manage to
6. A very good joke is very hard to find & when you do it does the world of good
7. A good Macrobiotic restaurant is something I dream of

And the nominees are…

1. http://ladybluerose.wordpress.com/ A most precious blogger
2. http://momentswithmillie.wordpress.com/ Very worthy of these awards
3. http://myraysoflight.wordpress.com/ So very inspiring
4. http://living-simply-free.com/ A tremendous example
5. http://suedreamwalker.wordpress.com/ A very generous soul
6. http://soberidentity.com/ A true gem

Thanks once again for these awards!

Nostalgia to a world long gone…

This photo represents nostalgia
To a world long gone where things
Were mostly slower & simpler but
Nobody knew,
Nobody had a parallel to compare…
Now we do 🙂

P.s
I am taking off for two weeks
To come back with more…
Thanks for your understanding 🙂
