Perfect cicada-The beauty of a fly

©copyright2013owpp

©copyright2013owpp

Through my lens,
Unfolded the birth
Of a flower among nettles
Through my lens,
Unravelled poetry
Of sunshine among thorns
Heedless of the allegory
Happening on a leaf…

Out of the corner of

My field of vision
I conjured you’d
Spread your wings
The instant you
Skidded on indefectable
Foliage but you paused-posed
And played an important
Role in what would become

The dawn of a beautiful adventure.

The tale of someone
Who saw grace in lieu
Of hideousness…
Inferred small is big
And never again would
Squash impeccancy and
Perfection under
An angry slipper!

Note:
This poem was inspired by the first photo I took focusing on the Theme of an-only-flower-among-foliage.
You can detect on the side the fly which I thought I had no chance of capturing, cicada’s are very
fast, but to my delight soon realized that I could… where began my fascination for those small wonders 🙂

P.S If you are curious no, I have never squashed a fly just the idea repulses me 🙂

The happy lamppost!

I can hear your heart beaming
Your light shinning through
The bluest of skies, crowned
By a Lei of yellow and green
Enhancing the azure above.

Peaking: A Big Wave Surfer’s Perspective – Carlos Burle – Part (2/6)

I loved the way this surfer philosophizes and describes his life, passion and fears. It is deep and meaningful. The waves and scenery are spectacular, the colors and movement couldn’t be captured on canvas as it’s forever changing… every split of a second… the essence of its beauty is the constant change through motion.
Enjoy it!

The wig of a scarecrow 28.5.2013

These photos and poem were inspired by the blogger Junsjazz Images & Inspiration who always has great advice on photography.
I had fun playing around plain tools as a fennel for a tunnel vision and a sifter for a vintage effect. I hope you’ll enjoy it!

The wig of a scarecrow
—————————-

Call an onion by its name
And the vim from a warm (1)
Kitchen floats with the
Tenderness of young dreams.

Observe the art of its
Layers, sometimes cracked
Revealing viridity under… (2)
Adorned by a golden glow

Tips resembling the wig of
A scarecrow built carelessly
With the clothes become rags
From stretched days, short nights…

Call an onion and it will
Faithfully expose the aroma,
Give flair to the forlorn, for
In every living, growing,

Is poetry. To the recipient
Of all that is moving and
Changing… days ticking,
Mildew spreading, Calling

Loudly your name.
_______________

Vim (1)

[Latin, accusative of v s; see wei – in Indo-European roots.]

Trees… The artistry of a master (Trees 1)

Tree sculpture ©copyright2013owpp

The next few posts will be dedicated to trees of all shape, in all places, tree-trunks, their purpose and our benefits by having them around us.
I have always been fascinated by the strength and energy that emanates from them and found my photo collection growing…
While selecting them for this project which I like to think of as a tribute to the trees around us, I realized Venice had hardly any trees (but many plants) something I hadn’t noticed on our short stay there.

A bulge, A rimple
The streaks of sap
The neat folds of a
Bird’s hiding place
Each one carved with
The accuracy and skill
Of a surgeon’s scalpel
With the artistry of…

A master.
