Clubs and bookmarks
Strolls in the park
Gatherings and readings
Poets in breeding.
Rays of sun
Caressing for fun
Words on pages
Whispered through the ages
No food nor beverages
Just words that amazes
This circle sitting on grass
Oblivious to movement or mass
Floating through time
Echos that chime
Eras, epochs and lives
Of people born and died
Sharing poetry as one
Phrases built to run
Wildly in the mind of some.
Lovers of architects lining
The hopes of the ones not daring
To take the quill and stroll
Through the minds and ghosts
Of bookclubs and whispers
Caressing the pages
Through the ages…

The world of silence-March 1991-Adjusted-January 2013

The world of silence
————————

Alone to be yourself
Through your eyes
Not another’s
Befriending
Harmony to
Whom you owe
Nothing, everything…

You pick conticent
Plenitude that
Obliges nothing…
Words unsettles
Whereas silence…
In blessedness
In its right measure

Nothing better for
Unadulterated repose.
Alone for the world tires…
Verbal duels, ambiguous
Phrases, complex minds,
Primeval instincts…
Wary, dominant,

Sometimes wild,
Sensitivity at skin level,
Applying pity in most
Unforeseen moments…
Very little for you who
Flees from all that.
Weary to the point…

Of taking refuge in
The World of silence.

The right words Translated from its French original text as “Les mots justes” 6.4.2013

you concoct & complot

This poem was inspired by a person very dear to my heart

The right words
——————-

Those which do not hurt
Those which do not offend
That leave perplexed
Turns around the index

You try
Unparalleled
And marvel
In the morn

In what narration
Do you plummet
Wonderful troubles
In total oblivion

You concoct
You complot
Cosset
And dither

Great is your laugh
When on the strings you pull
And slip on waxed floor
But what is your aim?

You look for the right words
That on your tongue stumbles
The chicanery of the boors
You smash against the lusters

So, you try again
In the morn
And marvel
At the sun.

Les mots justes
——————-

Ceux qui ne blessent
Ceux qui ne vexent
Qui laisse perplexe
Tournent autour de l’index

Tu essayes
Sans pareil
T’émerveilles
Au réveil

Dans quelle histoire
Tu te laisses choir
Merveilleux déboires
Sans t’en apercevoir

Tu concoctes
Tu complotes
Dorlotes
Et grelottes

Grand est ton rire
Quand sur la ficelle tu tires
Et glisses sur un parquet de cire
Mais quel est ton point de mire?

Tu cherches les mots justes
Qui sur ta langue trébuchent
L’embobinage des rustres
Tu te fracasses contre les lustres

Alors, tu réessayes
Au réveil
Et t’émerveilles
Du soleil.

The eyes of the apprised
——————————

Sluicing
Through your fingers…
Time.
You watch calmly
Without feeling
The need to marvel
Or rave
Every instant.
What you called
Boredom or routine

Yesterday
Is in the eyes
Of the apprised
Appeasing.
You have
No urge to
Explain nor
Desire to
Leverage.
You savor

The minutes
And seconds
Recognizing
What is precious
Yet, accepting
The uniqueness
Of intensity
The potency
And magnitude
Of passion

As a desideratum
For essence
A requisite
For living
Creating
Being the author
Of your conception
Liberating
Spates
Of colors

And words
Furiously
Quenching
Those qualities
Sating
Those flaws.
To maximize.
Try again
And again
Never waiving

Nor abalienating (1)
Learn and
Burn midnight oil
Then, go back
Contemplating..
Time streaming
Through you.
Rave and marvel
Supervene (2)
The flow

Of eternity

Angeles Arrien: Archetypal Forms and Forces (excerpt) — Thinking Allowed DVD w/ Jeffrey Mishlove

This video is the type you can watch a few times and each time,
listen to it differently, appreciate the depth and meaning
of her words a little more.

I found it on another blog but as I follow quite a few brilliant
bloggers, if I don’t write down straight away its origin it gets
lost in the labyrinth of my brain, which was this time, the case 🙂

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Her way of explaining how
to get about creativity and how it happens, is just beautiful.

Have a lovely weekend!

Archetypal energies beckon us to live a larger life. We are all healers, warriors, visionaries and teachers — but often these potentials remain in latent form. Through song, dance, storytelling and meditation we can activate these archetypes.

Angeles Arrien, Ph.D., a cross-cultural anthropologist, is on the faculty of the California Institute of Integral Studies and the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. She is author of The Tarot Handbook, The Fourfold Way and Signs of Life.

What is poetry to you?

William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare

Poetry to me is the elegance of a moment transmitted from the mind, to the marvel of entwined
words choreographed by the master, called inspiration.

Poetry is a way to let out all the bottled up emotional energy. It’s grabbing that second, hour,
week or month and signing it up for immortality.

Poetry is throwing out there, a heritage of love for the generations to come. It is pausing in
anticipation of auspicious times.

Poetry is letting the words find their place. It is giving them the opportunity to discover
each other in a sentence, blend or stand out in its sublimity.

Without poetry, we would not know where to put it all. It is a gift ( like many others ) to
treasure and keep alive. It is to be shared, for without giving it over, it dies. It lies in a
dark draw, in wait of the admiring glance. For cognizance in a family gathering or a wider
public.

Its viability depends on it. We don’t do it any favor to keep it possessively from the strangers
eyes.

Poetry is the essence, the core of what makes us free spirits. Deprived of it, we would have
felt as prisoners, hands tied behind our backs.

This is what poetry means to me.

What does poetry do to you?
