I did it!! I restored the whole painting category in one day!

Sheer bliss!

Sheer bliss!

I am treating myself to a virtual holiday splurge to celebrate a broken record of the fastest blog restorer čśë
Hence this idyllic photo…
I have to admit I have much less posts in painting than poetry & my next categories will take much longer because each post has much more than one photo but I am very grateful to have come this far.
I was so discouraged in the beginning I thought I’d never find the incentive but when told me she tried to see my paintings & couldn’t find them it gave me that oomph so needed to go on after my poetry category was finished.

I truly am grateful for every blogger’s feedback & support, it is the ONLY way I could muster the little energy I had to get going at first and go further after.

I hope you’ll get as much pleasure browsing through it as the satisfaction I had putting those photos back! It made me want to get back to my painting after a long absence due to intensive writing.

Enjoy it & let me know if you liked it.

I didn’t give up and searched forever until I found this video that was not with a copyright on it and with Ray Mears at his best again.
I have seen many documentaries but he’s one among the best!
Enjoy it čÖé

Gifted Hands The Ben Carson Story Full Film – Upload by Dr. Inthush Kavisha

Yesterday, I ” stumbled ” upon this film, thinking nothing of it in the beginning. Ignorant
of the story and this magnificent, inspiring personality.
It took me a few minutes at the end of the movie, to digest the ideas absorbed along.
I can practically say, this is a continuation of the ” How to be a no-limit person ” lecture
of Dr. Wayne Dyer.
Dr. Ben Carson is the living proof that anything is possible, given, there’s a will to do
what we put our minds to. He personifies the-sky-is-the-limit philosophy.
This film is not the typical chilled movie but there’s so much to learn from! There’s a
much bigger amount of satisfaction at the end and I surely didn’t feel I had wasted
my time.
Let me know about it once you’ve watched it. Enjoy:)

Painting ongoing project

Hi everyone!

I decided to post this painting project as an incentive.

I found the picture somewhere and instantly felt a kinship, it was MY style of art. I had what you call in French ” un coup de coeur ” for it ( meaning

falling in love with something ) and wanted to get to work immediately.

I finished it in small ( a rectangular 24 cm wide = 9.4 inches, 30 cm long = 11.8 inches ) called it ” Guardians of the city ” and felt it a challenge to dive into deeper waters and go bigger ( 80 cm =
31.4 inches ) in square version this time.

It was my first Big painting! Meanwhile I have done many others but, this one just seemed to lag behind…

Every time I worked on it, I saw all the million of details to be refined… I got sometimes discouraged by the magnitude

of the ” job ” and once you start thinking of it as a job, you pause and remind yourself why you had started in the first place with painting.

I waited for the moment of inspiration, which disappears as quickly as it comes ( I call it ” frenzy for… ” it shows up in bouts ) the adventure turned out to become a non-ending assignment.
