Wriggling vegetable worm?

Vegetable worm?

As we were taking a stroll in a park on a wonderfully peaceful rainy day where scent, mist & hue mingle, I came across this weird looking leaf which appeared to be on the move čśë
I took a few with different shapes, colors & composed a setting nearby to try & bring out to the eyes of my viewers, its tones & curves.
Anyone out there with a name for this vegetable-worm?

Trees… The artistry of a master (Trees 1)

The next few posts will be dedicated to trees of all shape, in all places, tree-trunks, their purpose and our benefits by having them around us.
I have always been fascinated by the strength and energy that emanates from them and found my photo collection growing…
While selecting them for this project which I like to think of as a tribute to the trees around us, I realized Venice had hardly any trees (but many plants) something I hadn’t noticed on our short stay there.

A bulge, A rimple
The streaks of sap
The neat folds of a
Bird’s hiding place
Each one carved with
The accuracy and skill
Of a surgeon’s scalpel
With the artistry of…

A master.

My shell collection 2012

This is a shell collection of many years. When we walk on the beaches,
any beach, I like to keep busy, head bent, in search of the unusual
shape, size or color.

Not so long ago, I spoke to my art teacher ( yes, I still need her
advice from time to time čÖé ) and she suggested this assemblage stuck
on canvasses of different shapes and color.

Today, I thought it was a good idea to share it with you all!

Weald is a painting I did with one of my children. We focused mainly on texture.
We worked with a iron spatula and randomly moved with it, improvising and innovating shapes.

We were trying so hard to create a piece of art and at a point, thought it was going to flop.
That is when we let go of it ( we had nothing to loose anymore čÖé ) and when it started to take
shape.

We came out of the experience, elated and hopeful!
