DIY Build an Earthship Home! | Getoffmoney.com

I find this video most fascinating & went on looking at the full documentary which would take too much space here but you can look it up with the tittle “Garbage Warrior ALL ABOUT EARTHSHIPS – Full Length Documentary” on YouTube.
What fascinated me most beside the fact that the whole subject is mind boggling, is that at a point he said something very wise I quote “I missed the freedom to fail” (referring to the time he got his license as architect taken away & they didn’t allow him to build his projects because of some building law requirements) for me as for many others I imagine, failure is something you’d rather avoid surely not miss or invite in your life, that got me thinking…

He truly believed not being able to fail stopped him achieving his goals in life, that was so human & refreshing to hear.
I don’t think I’ll ever see after that failing as I saw it before, I think you’ll understand what I mean when you’ll hear it in its context.

Backyard Permaculture: Starting at home…

Published on the 25 June 2012

I found this video & watch it out of curiosity with no intention of posting it but was surprised to find myself so engrossed in it, having so much fun, that I decided to share it with you…
The gardening happens in Australia so not everything might apply to everyone but there’s a huge amount of valuable information to be preciously saved in our memory bank 🙂
It is indeed 1.12 mn long but well worth the time spent & very relaxing, it takes you away from the every day hassle…I hope you enjoy this!

Beautiful house built from old tire, used bottle & mud!

Grand Designs S09 E05 The Brittany Groundhouse, Brittany SD ( Standard Definition )

I have seen many spectacular renovated castles & houses in this series but this one surpassed them all in its originality in the recycling domain.
So much so that I felt I had to share it with you so you don’t miss out on ideas if any of you are contemplating to build your own home 🙂
Enjoy!

Plastic to Oil Fantastic OW2.0

I don’t have an inch to spare in this blog but this video I found at http://alarnarosegray.com/2013/10/18/plastics-postscript/ was too important to let it go by unnoticed. Take a look you’ll see what I mean!

The Japanese company Blest has developed one of the smallest and safest plastic-to-oil conversion machines out on the market today. It’s founder and CEO, Akinori Ito is passionate about using this machine to change the way people around the world think about their plastic trash. From solving our landfill and garbage disposal issues to reducing our oil dependancy on the Middle East, his machine may one day be in every household across Japan.
While holding up a bag of trash, he states, “It’s a waste to throw away, isn’t it? This is a treasure.”
