Those in need
—————-

Moment of subaqueous
Distress you lift your
Eyes with conviction
Of being heard.

Vigor in double amount
To care for those
In need, give them
A sanctuary

Sooth their wounds
Heal their souls
Iron the crinkled folds
Of their shredded lives

Strength for others
Not your own.
When nothing is left
Besides throes, regrets

For those you cannot
Cushion anymore.
Love aches
Debilitating situation

Is it miscalculation,
The best of the worst?
Simple becomes complicated
Pensile questions

Dull throb.
Let the waves wash
Over, cleans your
Spirit, make things

Right, coach you.
Give you dexterity
For greatness.
Merit and prerogative.

Conveyance and guidance
For the suffering
Promise to hold them
Tight and love

Forever and ever.
To subsume, aver
The love you have…

For you.

Bill Moyers interview with Ursula K. LeGuin about “Lathe of Heaven”

There are interviews where you immediately shut off when the interviewer
starts asking his questions to the interviewee.

Others where you feel the chemistry running and are hooked till
the last word is said. This is how I felt when I saw this one with Bill
Moyers interviewing Ursula K. Leguin.

He managed to bring out her rich personality, listening to her is captivating.
She reaches out to the listener and makes them feel a kinship to her ideas about
writing a book, her characters, her peaceful way of thinking about life, growth,
wisdom…

I could go on and on… In short it’s a very interesting video to watch for
those curious about the literate world and professionals.

Enjoy and let me know what YOU think about it 🙂

Painting project of ” Odyssey ”

These are the first steps of a new painting project I called Odyssey, which is a picture I found, and wanted to
reproduce, with slight changes and an extra twist added to it, which I’ll clarify at the end of the work.

I’m posting it for the same reasons I did the ” guardians of the city ” only this time, I don’t want to drag the
work on, for a year. I’m doing it now, to push myself faster 🙂
I hope you will like it, have a lovely weekend!

An Introduction to Michael Sandel’s ” Justice ” course ( Harvard )

I spoke in my ” About ” how I was a big fan of Michael Sandel. It might even be an understatement!
I started looking on ” You tube ” at his course which I accidentally fell upon when he was on the front page.
In the beginning I took it as a challenge, but I was quickly hooked on it!
I never thought philosophy could be so fascinating, so intricately deep, so moral and so addictive 🙂
He is a genius in allowing the subject to be easy to understand and make sense.
When the course finished, I felt like an orphan.
What was I thinking? That the course would be going on forever?
I’ll post this introduction and will go on posting the whole course for the lovers of philosophy and whoever is not, this blog has enough material for all.
Enjoy it and let me know your impression.
