I have been taking flower shots for quite a while now, but only understood yesterday while having fun at it once again, the influence the blogging world has on my results which I think has definitely improved since the beginning of my blog.
This time I decided to play it sometimes sophisticated with black background and others preserved its pure lines in the classical settings of daylight.
I hope you’ll enjoy this collection 🙂

New flower collection…
Summer has cast its spell…
Summer has cast its spell
Taken hold of all those glances
Stealing all the different hues
Bestowing them upon the few…
And all you need is rain (Trees 6. Final) 3.6.2013
This is the final of a series…The end of a photo collection carefully chosen for a project very close to my heart, the tree project.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did bringing it to completion.
And all you need is rain
——————————
The artist clamors your abstract
Your depiction of natural history
Monet invents the layout of his …
The picnicker requests your stool
The bird liens a nest.
The parking lot… A division
Towns, parks, solicitate your flourish
And all you need is drops of rain.
From the benches I pay homage (Trees 5) 2.6.2013
From the benches…
———————
From the benches I read and pay
Homage to the reverence I feel
Toward the decorum surrounding
Me.
From the contrast in colors…
To peaceful hidden spots or thick
Shiny roots exploring the mysteries
Of earth’s nether.
All groan…Whisper in harmony
A lullaby to the ones who see.
Trees in snow 30.5.2013 (Trees 4)
Trees in snow
—————–
There is nothing like snow to
Bring out the magnetism of
Black, white and the myriad
Shades in between. To outline
The curves, decorate a pine tree
With iced frills…
There is nothing like bare trees
Lined by nature’s symmetry or,
Hovering protectively over a shy
Winter sun… branches illuminated
Near dusk, a twig defining whiteness
In an arctic day, air numbing, solid
As a nutshell.
After such a day, we go by the wooden
Swings and smile at nature’s constant
Rebirth…
Everywhere accompanying our very step (trees 3) 28.5.2013
Everywhere accompanying our very step (trees 3)
———————————————
They are everywhere
Grazing the foot of mountains
Bordering a lake, brushing rooftops,
Designing a niche for a lone abode,
Parading on the Champs-Elysées
Or encircling protectively the Eiffel Tower
Harboring those who hurry home from a
Somber season or guarding the slanting
Façade of a historical house.
They are just everywhere
Accompanying our very step…
Around the globe, we swirl and detect
Leaves ablaze with sun’s warm reflection
Or a trunk soaked by forests flavors
After a sudden gush…
Nourishing and being nourished
By earth’s plentiful.
“Our” trees, the ones that have taken a place… grown on us (Trees 2)
We sometimes have “our” trees…
That go by the name of ghost-tree
Or the-pregnant-tree, growing on
Us, following our shadows on a
Summer stroll. Some appear so
Dainty, others sturdy yet, all
Overcome long harsh winters…
We have even found one surrounded
Lovingly by baby-roots sprouting
Just everywhere, as an extension
Of their own…
Trees… The artistry of a master (Trees 1)
The next few posts will be dedicated to trees of all shape, in all places, tree-trunks, their purpose and our benefits by having them around us.
I have always been fascinated by the strength and energy that emanates from them and found my photo collection growing…
While selecting them for this project which I like to think of as a tribute to the trees around us, I realized Venice had hardly any trees (but many plants) something I hadn’t noticed on our short stay there.
Tree sculpture
————-
A bulge, A rimple
The streaks of sap
The neat folds of a
Bird’s hiding place
Each one carved with
The accuracy and skill
Of a surgeon’s scalpel
With the artistry of…
A master.
