Mylène Farmer – Pas Le Temps De Vivre (Live Mylenium Tour) With French and English translated Lyrics

Having had positive feedback from the Mylène Farmer’s previous video posted, I couldn’t resist
giving you this time round, my second favorite song of hers which she sings in one of her rare public
appearances in front of a devoted and delirious public.
I wish I could give you the video where they discuss her massive success and interviews with her,
but I’m afraid it is in French without subtitles. If I have a demand from French speaking bloggers
I will gladly post it!
A few details I gathered… She grew up in Canada 🙂 sold for her first live show, 160.000 tickets
within 3hrs and loves the poetic and magical touch snow gives to nature.

Enjoy this, it is truly unique!

No time to live
—————-

(Versions: #1#2)

There are times when
Shades vanish ;
Pain stops.
There are times when,
While the being is invincible, 1
Leprosy bows down
But if could have noticed that I one day
Will be the one you haunt ;
That I would need your breath
So as to defeat doubt ;
So as to imprison my solitude.

There are times when
Notes leave ;
Tears disappear.
There are times when,
While the moon is like so wan,
The being is monastic 2
But I rove like a light
Turned off by the wind.
My nights are with no eyelids anymore
So as to ease one by one
My fears of being only one person.

I have no time to live
When my balance flies away
I have no time to live
Love me, get into me
Tell me the words making one delirious
Tell me that the night disguises
See, I am as the sea
Drawing back after being
Unable to find your track

There are times when
My thoughts are so weak ;
A marble with no veins.
There are times when
We no longer belong to this world
A mere shadow of our former self 3
Tell me which key I need
So as to come across your star.
Your hand would be needed
So as to ease one by one
My fears of being only one person.

1. “S’invincibler” is a neologism
2. “Se monacaler” is a neologism
3. “L’ombre de son ombre” is an expression meaning that we no longer recognise ourselves, that we are different.

Pas le temps de vivre
————————

Il est des heures où
Les ombres se dissipent
La douleur se fige
Il est des heures où
Quand l’être s’invincible
La lèpre s’incline
Mais si j’avais pu voir qu’un jour
Je serai qui tu hantes
Qu’il me faudrait là ton souffle

Il me faudrait là ta main
Pour étreindre une à une
Mes peurs de n’être plus qu’une

Mylene Farmer — Je Te Dis Tout (French) lyrics (translated to English, beautifully soft music)

I was mesmerized by the softness of this clip and wanted to share it with you. I looked up the lyrics copied it and translated it to English too.
Mylène Farmer is a very popular French singer.

I quote wikipedia who says…

Silencieux
Merveilleux
Dans ce soir mouvant
J’écoute le vent

Héritière
Passagère
De mes jours maudits
Ça je le suis

Mon amour
Je te dis tout
Tu peuples ma vie
À l’infini

Abuse le sort
Frappe à ma porte
Pose une main
Sur mon front
Sur mes seins

Si d’aventure
Je quittais terre
Tu es mon sang
Mon double aimant
Mon ADN

Et sur ton pull
J’y broderais M
Pour que nos sangs
Se mêlent au vent
Mon ADN

Dénudée
Enserrée
Dans ce jeu sanglant
Je dis tout au vent

Aussi calme
Qu’un nuage
Je suis qui pardonne au temps
Aux absents

Mon amour
Je te dis tout
Tu peuples ma vie
À l’infini

Abuse du sort
Frappe à ma porte
Pose une main
Sur mon front
Sur mes seins

silent
wonderful
Moving in tonight
I listen to the wind

heiress
transient
My cursed days
That I am

my love
I tell you everything
You populate my life
To Infinity

Abuse fate
Knocking at my door
Lay a hand
On my forehead
On my breasts

If perchance
I’d left earth
You are my blood
My double magnet
My DNA

And on your sweater
I’d embroider M
So our blood
Mingle with the wind
My DNA

bare
enclosed
In this bloody game
I say all to the wind

as calm
as a cloud
I am who forgives time
the absent

my love
I tell you everything
You populate my life
To Infinity

Abuse of fate
Knocking at my door
Lay a hand
On my forehead
On my breasts

I got this comment from someone I couldn’t trace back (got a blank page) and as I fear it might be a virus I’m copying it here with my answer & hope that won’t do damage as it won’t have the link…

Thank you for posting this song, I love it too! It’s so mesmerising….

If I may, I would translate a few things differently :
“In the moving night” instead of “Moving into the night”
“Transient heiress of my cursed days, that, I am.” instead of “Heiress, transient, my cursed days”
“Abuse fate, knock at my door” instead of “Abuse fate, knocking at my door”
“You are my blood, my loving double, my DNA” instead of “You are my blood, my double magnet, my DNA”.

“Aimant” mean “loving” as well as “magnet”, I think in this song it means loving.
I don’t mean to be rude, I hope you don’t mind.

I appreciate the corrections. I had thought the translation to be professional as it was on a specific site & didn’t bother to check. I took a huge risk approving your comment as I could not connect to your site & just got a blank page so I hope you’re not a virus message…
Let me know how to check your site, just to be on the safe side
