Weald is a painting I did with one of my children. We focused mainly on texture.
We worked with a iron spatula and randomly moved with it, improvising and innovating shapes.

We were trying so hard to create a piece of art and at a point, thought it was going to flop.
That is when we let go of it ( we had nothing to loose anymore 🙂 ) and when it started to take
shape.

We came out of the experience, elated and hopeful!

Lava was painted with one of my children when I wanted to initiate them to the world of art. I must say I was quite surprised by the results. There is light movement and texture, that’s what I mean by keeping intact the child within. It produces the best work and children have the advantage of not knowing any better. Sadly enough passion for the trade did not follow 🙂
