A Heartwarming Story of Perseverance

Hi everyone! It’s good to be back with an amazingly inspiring story found on https://goodtimestories.wordpress.com/2014/11/29/a-heartwarming-story-of-perserverence/
it just left me speechless, so much so that I think you’d best watch it to understand why I have a hard time putting into words my admiration for this tremendously courageous soul teaching us a lesson of perseverance “par excellence” (translate…the best of a kind)

Is it only up to us?

We are constantly being told that suffering is an essential component to self-growth, I beg to differ. I’d rather see suffering as optional.
Bingeing which used to be a source of grief, uncertainty & tremendous despair is today, to my latest discovery, part of a project, the germination of… a bit like a disheveled, disconnected & chaotic building-site that takes a turn for the better three quarters of the way, revealing the beauty of careful planning, the scrutiny of detail, the hard earned result of love… perfection & poetry in curves & colors.
Even though I’d rather sail on a pink cloud throughout I envision my “phase” as part of a scheme… a fraction of the perfection about to be.
What we can be sure about is that challenges are transitory & if we realize it is to take us to where the sun shines we might worry less on the way.
Trying to understand the bigger picture has loosened the knots & brought peace when least expected.
Bryant H. McGill says, “Abundance is a process of letting go. That which is empty can receive”.
Letting go of my food for me is the answer to inviting after many years of struggle, abundance & quality in my life.
The question is, when/will it happen & is it only up to me?
That remains to be seen…

The place where light enters you…

I thought this most profound saying to be most suitable for this shot!

The wound is the place where light enters you.
Rumi.

P.s
I am going to take time off until after winter holidays to spend quality time with my loved ones but will try my utmost to keep on liking as long as I can & see you back in January!
Make the most of it life goes by too quickly 😉
My best wishes to all of you till then!

Holding summer’s plan in abeyance

Taking a walk my eyes caught the sun
Lightly brushing the symmetrical
Beauty of this leaf having lived,
Holding summer’s plan in abeyance
Embracing coming winter to bestow
Lavishly its first coat of snow
Satiating its parchedness…

Yasuni – Invest on the Planet

Playamart-zeebra designs reblogged this and I found this video fascinating in the sense that people can make such a huge difference to the preservation of our planet.
We tend to think we are victims of a system that decides about “progress” and we have to go blindly towards a catastrophic future our kids will be having to witness, live, suffer and accommodate with…
But there’s much more to it when you look at the bigger picture. This video is a message of hope, love, strength, perseverance, belief and appreciation for the miraculous rebirth we witness of our planet as we wake up every day to it.
It’s a nice way to spend 2.34 seconds 🙂
Enjoy!

Perfect imperfect flower
Radiant in uniqueness
Glowing in strength
You are more beautiful
Than all the rows
Of fluffy petals
For you stand out
And catch the eye
Of the passerby.

Treasured encounters –July 1985 adjusted 23.4.2013

This poem was inspired by a very special encounter in my younger age with an older lady and a noble soul.

Treasured encounters
————————–

Precious and valuable
Moments are not always
Seen, felt or appreciated
At the time experienced

Some people we encounter
Open up as hesitantly as
The heavy red velvet drapery
Of an age-old theatre

Revealing the folds of their
Life sparingly with the
Delicacy of a mother bird
Building a nest for her young

Twig by twig for some
Saliva and mud for others
As the patient Barn Swallow
Decorating nature’s scenery

With a lesson of brio and generosity (1)
Those are the brief twinkles
The world offers us as a glimpse
Of its limitlessness and hidden frills

How do we KNOW a moment
Be fully aware of its worth
Feel between our thumb and index
The texture of authenticity and perfection?

Practice and age chisel the tools
Of our wishful transcendence (2)
And when some open hesitantly
The curtains of their inner

Just maybe we will open it
With the thrill of a first
Birthday gift, hide it from
The envious, bring it down

From its niche with veneration
Acknowledge and appraise
The glamour of individuality
Nobility of essence

The validity of confident whispers
The strength needed to remove
The swathes of our souls
And expose the raw artistry

Of treasured encounters.
