I am not giving up!

Progress

Today is a new day and I woke up with the firm decision of not throwing in the towel! There is far too much energy invested in this blog to let it stay the way it is now.

I am lucky to have printed out my posts along the way… I’m going to pull out those files and work through each category one by one and try as much as possible to reinsert the photos. It’s going to be a lengthy process and hope you’ll be patient with me until I’ll finish the task and get back to my regular pace 🙂

I cannot thank all of you enough for the massive response of solidarity in my plight. I hadn’t expected it, we live in a generation where time is counted & goes too fast but you were all here trying to help with tips, ideas & information.

You have all my gratitude!

I still have a load to learn… the first thing is to get acquainted with reducing the photo size to save space, it sounds strange & complicated but I’ll get through this one too. Next, I have to eventually create a oawritingspoemspaintings2 as a blogger suggested. I posted too many videos apparently thus shortening my blog space.

A big thank you once again. I hope you’ll bear with me until this is over and done with 🙂

The violin of an apprentice
———————————

Abrade his throes
Lighten his eyes
Fortify his mettle.
– – – – – –
You had the attribute
To have cradled
Many of my evenings,
Sleepless nights and
Vanishing slumber

Where I rummaged
Finding myself
Through the written.
Recovering the pieces

Of your appeasing
Countenance…You were
My defender the guardian
Of my dwelling…You

Restored flavor to the
Prosaic day, proffered
A rainbow counter to
Setbacks, clarified
Tarnished horizons…
– – – – – – –
Vibrate in his soul the
Delicate tremolo of an
Apprentice’s violin.

Eclaircis ses yeux
Fortifie sa vaillance

Tu as eu l’apanage
De bercer tant de
Mes soirées, nuits
Blanches au sommeil
Fuyant, oĂą je

Fouillais me retrouvant
A travers l’écrit,
Récupérant les Morceaux
De ton expression

Appaisante. Tu Ă©tais
Mon défenseur, le gardien
De ma demeure, tu as
Restauré la saveur au

Jour prosaĂŻque,
Offert un arc-en-ciel
A l’encontre de
Déboires, clarifié les

TEDxFiDiWomen – Lissa Rankin – The Shocking Truth About Your Health / Brene Brown: The power of vulnerability

I had promised to finish my tree project without interruptions but the video I just found on You tube called for an exception.
Lissa Rankin is outstanding in a wisdom one can’t buy with money. I was literally shaking my head in acknowledgement all along.
She then mentions Brene Brown and advises to see her TED talk which I had previously watched but took a whole new dimension after Lissa’s speech.
I am therefore including that video in this post too. Lift up your feet at the end of your day with a hot mug and… Enjoy it! It’s well worth your time 🙂

Lissa Rankin, MD is an OB/GYN physician, author, keynote speaker, consultant to health care visionaries, professional artist, and founder of the women’s health and wellness community OwningPink.com. Discouraged by the broken, patriarchal health care system, she left her medical practice in 2007 only to realize that you can quit your job, but you can’t quit your calling. This epiphany launched her on a journey of discovery that led her to become a leader in the field of mind/body medicine, which she blogs about at OwningPink.com and is writing about in her third book Mind Over Medicine: Scientific Proof You Can Heal Yourself (Hay House, 2013).

She teaches both patients and health care professionals how to make the body ripe for miracles by healing the mind and being healthy in all aspects of life, not just by promoting healthy behaviors like good nutrition, exercise, and adequate sleep, but by encouraging health and authenticity in relationships, work, creative expression, spirituality, sexuality, finances, and living environment. She is leading a revolution to feminize how health care is received and delivered by encouraging collaboration, fostering self-healing, reconnecting health care and spirituality, empowering patients to tap into the mind’s power to heal the body, and encouraging women not to settle for being merely well, but to strive for living vital, joyful, authentic lives full of “mojo.”

When not spreading the word, she chills out, paints, does yoga, and hikes in Marin County, CA with her husband and daughter.

A Soul liberated… In its French original text written in 2007. Translated and adjusted 13th May 2013

This poem was inspired by family feuds and has no political insinuation.

A soul liberated
——————–

Fugitive of your house
Of your roots, from a
War of words, they
Lurk behind a facade
Waving the flag of
Innocence, of alleged
Love, insinuating disgust
By a hasty and confined
Interpretation of the
Forbidden apple as of
A soiled banner…
——————–
A cease-fire harbored
By illusions built on
A house of cards collapsed
By the simple breath of
Intolerance and these
Weaknesses resurface,
Sainthood as a pretext,
Finished off by the Coup
De grâce, exploiting the
Vulnerability, threatening
Out of revenge, trampling
And soiling a patched past…
———————————-
These trials became your
Strength, have plowed the
Too embedded furrows
By apathy, by a life
Devoid of interest
Rising from the ashes
Of a suspended soul
The illusion of bliss,
Built by repetitive
Movements. You
Detected in the
Obscurity, the Manna
That fell upon you
The reason and rational
Motive of a highly
Guarded plan.
You have revealed
A light usually hidden.
Perceived and exposed
Divinity among
The storms of your

Tumultuous life.
____________

Une âme libéré
——————

Fugitif de ta maison
De tes raçines par une
Guerre de mots, ils se
Tapissent derrière une
Façade, brandissant le
Drapeau de l’innocence
D’amour prétendu
Insinuant le dégoût
Par une interpretation
Hative et borner de la
Pomme défendu comme
D’un étendard souiller…
—————————–
Un cessez-le-feu bercer
D’illusions bâtis en château
De cartes écroulé par le simple
Souffle de l’intolérance et,
Ressurgit ces faiblesses,
Sainteté comme prétexte
Achever par le coup de grâce
Exploitant la vulnérabilité,
Menaçant par vengeance
Piétinant et souillant
Un passé rapiécé…
————————–
Ces Ă©preuves, devenu ta force
Ont labouré les sillons, trop
Incruster par l’apathie, par
Une vie dénuée d’intérét
Renaissant des cendres,
D’une âme en sursis
L’illusion d’une félicité
Construit de mouvements
Répétitifs, tu as détecté
Dans l’obscurité, la Manne
Qui t’est tombé. La raison,
Le motif rationnel d’un plan
Hautement gardé. Tu t’est révélé
Une lumière habituellement
Cachée. Perçu et exposé la
Divinité parmi les tempêtes

De ta vie mouvementée

Hermit within range

Alone he perdures
Outcast by choice
Dissevered at birth
Isolated by his demise.

Secluded to think
So as not to perish
Apart, surrounded
Hermit within range.

Lone in blessedness
Remote as an artist
Nongregarious in assent
Unbinded, eclectic

Prodigy by choice

Hermite dans la portée

Seul, il perdure
Paria par choix
DĂ©suni Ă  la naissance
Isolé à son décès.

Retiré pour réfléchir
Afin de ne pas périr
SĂ©parer, entourer
Hermite dans la portée.

Seul dans la béatitude
Distant comme artiste
Abstrus en adhesion
DĂ©lier, Ă©clectique

Prodige, par choix

Angeles Arrien: Archetypal Forms and Forces (excerpt) — Thinking Allowed DVD w/ Jeffrey Mishlove

This video is the type you can watch a few times and each time,
listen to it differently, appreciate the depth and meaning
of her words a little more.

I found it on another blog but as I follow quite a few brilliant
bloggers, if I don’t write down straight away its origin it gets
lost in the labyrinth of my brain, which was this time, the case 🙂

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Her way of explaining how
to get about creativity and how it happens, is just beautiful.

Have a lovely weekend!

Archetypal energies beckon us to live a larger life. We are all healers, warriors, visionaries and teachers — but often these potentials remain in latent form. Through song, dance, storytelling and meditation we can activate these archetypes.

Angeles Arrien, Ph.D., a cross-cultural anthropologist, is on the faculty of the California Institute of Integral Studies and the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. She is author of The Tarot Handbook, The Fourfold Way and Signs of Life.

Going in circles, lying in wait and questioning Sep. 2012 ( Oa essay )

©copyright2013owpp

©copyright2013owpp

As you see this essay was written a few months ago but I go with the idea that my experience might help someone out there and in that way, take out the positive from the negative, even though some will debate about an experience being negative or not 🙂

Going in circles…
——————-

How do we escape those furious bouts of eating. Why do we have to put the rage of our emotions in food?
Don’t we realize the grave we are digging by such behavior, do we feel our heart beating furiously, our breathing heavier by the second?
Illness is feared by so many yet common sense evaporates into thin air when confronted with food.
Death is a subject practically taboo today, we are so afraid of it but, don’t we realize we are shortening our lives?
How is it possible that we are perfectly rational human beings but totally oblivious to reality when dealing with food?
Somebody in their right sense of mind would never mutilate their body the way we do. We become self-destructive to the extreme and call it “spoiling ourselves-taking a break- letting loose- chilling- taking it easy or taking care”.

Taking CARE of ourselves?!

How could we possibly ever think of it in those terms when, we see our body swelling and ourselves sliding down emotionally to a bottomless pit?
Is this the insanity Oa talks about? Being perfectly sane in all other matters, more than anyone around until…
How do we make sense of all this? We know off-by-heart the words of wisdom, we don’t want to hear them. So, how do we pull ourselves out… Seek our H.P? We know. We do. But WE put ourselves into this mess not him.
In his great generosity he will drag us back out. We know. But why are we still stuck? Will we stay here, this time for good? Where is the energy we need, where did it disappear when we had it?

It went with that ONE bite!

That is how tricky that one bite is. Why didn’t we listen, why didn’t we stop right on time, where did our strength and determination go flying when we were challenged?
So many questions and no answers!
We think we can manage what we call “ that innocent bite “ but that is where it brought us to.
When granted abstinence, we are wearing a crown, we are bestowed with a most precious gift. We should try not to discard it at a whim.

It is easier to say no to one bite, than saying yes, to months of struggle until we muster a mountain of courage to get back on track.

The lesson is, do not throw away what is most valuable to you. Know that abstinence is not a gift we find everywhere, anytime. It is a present given seldom. After seeking, begging for it and offered with much deliberation.

Do we know when the opportunity will arise again? We do not. We lie in wait… Hoping, this time, we will be the lucky winners once again.
But uncertainty gnaws at us, it bites into our hope, bit by bit, until we find ourselves on our knees.

Why does it have to be that way, are we so used to be in “ desperation mode “ and repeat the same pattern to go back to what is familiar and comfortable even if it’s a hell-hole?
How do we and can we, erase our past-programming? Are we doomed or will we realize one day that life has so much more to offer?
Be a slave and serve our addiction or, invite freedom and joy?

We COULD grow up and see that they are the only things worth living for and ask to be given clarity of mind to make the right choices in our lives and, strength to have a lasting abstinence this time round.
The one given once in a lifetime to the few privileged…The chosen.

By him as much as by us.
