A technical glitch becomes my muse.

This project isn’t new.
In fact I have long been busy with it and still have a long way to go…
There are still a million details to refine.

The whole idea was a sheer stroke of luck.
Our printer was nearly out of ink and the result was this amazingly hazy, blurry work of art…
On paper.

A technical glitch became my muse.
Our printer, despite itself turned what could’ve been a more or less ordinary idea into a punch of genius.
In an instant it had taken a whole new dimension.

Today, looking so very closely, I continue detecting, along the work (which often needs a magnifying glass) so much movement in what appeared at first to be a soft, romantic, vague looking image.

This “failed” print I notice, is a host to so many nuances, shadows, blurry, ghostly, ephemeral expressions…

And it lies in every stroke of this ongoing project.
It is very precise, nothing is left to chance.

Yet, it would have gone unnoticed to my eye, if I wasn’t so busy with its minutiae.

Creating your way to genesis.

Hi, this article was inspired by the three principles method of Sidney Banks.

It just happened with no need of correction which is a rare occurrence in my writing experience.

I hope you enjoy it and will inspire you further.

Hi, welcome to the realm of no-thought.
You have finally found that quiet spot in the vastness of time.
You have slowed down your breathing to your heartbeat.
Exhaling emotions attached to a floating or frantic parade of noisy images.
Emptying mind-clutter, peeling off remnants of ancient wallpaper sticking faithfully to walls of generations and habits.
Finally letting go and giving into new design.
To the idea of nothing. Of everything.
Opening up to the awareness of what IS.
Listening to the sounds of silence.
Peeping through the keyhole of eternity.
Remembering that time stands still, every time you allow it.
Slicing through the race of man-made impatience and frustrations.
Allowing yourself to let life BE YOU. BE NOW. FEEL NOW.
Notice what sustains you.
Experience your body’s imprint on your mattress, chair or floor.
Sense all that surrounds you, all that contributes to your comfort and wellbeing. Perceiving the oneness with all elements. Celebrate its quiet yet sustainable presence.
Allow yourself that time of blissful emptiness.
Breathe it.
Mark it.
Into your mind and consciousness.
Etch it into your soul. Design it unto every square inch of your body. Sketch it into a habit.
Offering yourself the possibility of heaven RIGHT NOW.
Creating the notes of YOUR life.
Chanting the mantra of YOUR reality and allowing others to follow theirs.
Breathe it, welcome it and enter the strange yet familiar domain of unoccupied mind.

Carving your way back to Genesis.

Celebration

_20170912_100223

Hi everyone!
I couldn’t believe five whole years have gone by since I started this blog.
Forgive my absence.
Lately I have been having computer issues and couldn’t keep you updated with my work, the exhibition, my photography…
But I promise to start posting again as soon as it’s all fixed.
Only then will I feel entitled to fully celebrate this milestone 🙂
Best of luck to all my faithful followers and visitors and best wishes for a safe and warm winter!

Turbulences soon coming up in bigger version… & opening of new online shop at Saatchi Art

Turbulences

Proudly presenting…
Turbulences. 30/30cm 3.1/2 cm deep.
Forces of nature always fascinated me, tornadoes are one of them.
A demonstration of raw power par excellence.
Having said that I’d rather stick to my canvas than approaching one of them.

Please scroll down for close ups…
Notice the movement & metallic colors used to convey the electrifying energy emanating from
a stormy atmosphere.
Extra strong gel medium was used to produce the relief.

Having had a good feedback on this small version, my next project will be a much bigger one…

Thank you all so much for your continual support.
Your visits, likes & comments are most valuable to me!

I want to take this opportunity to announce the opening of my new online shop on Saatchi Art (I encountered too many technical difficulties on Etsy when they lately changed their rules)
Will keep you updated as soon as I have the time to feed my account with photos of my painting collections.

Free And Virtually Unlimited Fuel To Heat Your Home

This is a brilliant money saver which truly impressed me & even though
I don’t have the use of it right now, I do enjoy the knowledge…
How to do it if the situation comes up e.g camping, holidays etc…
I have seen other videos that involved material that one would need
to go out & buy whereas this one was accessible to all.

Enjoy!

Every day we have tons of paper sent to us in the mail, boxes that our food is packaged in and in my case, lots of beer packaging. In this video I show you how to turn all that paper into something very useful, a way to heat your home for free. http://tinyhouselistings.com

Odyssey finally finished!

Odyssey is finally finished!

Having restored the photos back in this blog I decided to take back the painting neglected (for a year+) to writing. I’m really happy to show off today the results of what I had started in 2012!! ( under post “Odyssey”) I’ll include photos from the 1st sketch onward.

This painting was based on a picture I saw & fell in love with…the clean lines, nuances of black, blue, white & the panoramic-like view.
I added my own interpretation, it’s one of a collection I started with Trek evolution, see…
https://oawritingspoemspaintings.wordpress.com/2013/12/01/evolutions-trek-painting-finally-finished/

In the future a few will be following in that Theme.

The four men represent us on our life journey (notice the lines on their back expressing laps of time) the 1st is bent & struggling under the weight of a big question mark the 2nd is slightly straighter with a smaller one in front of him, the 3rd is already much straighter with a tiny question at his feet & the fourth has none, stands straight, there’s light shining from the moon, no more questions…

All is flat peaceful & serene.

Plastic to Oil Fantastic OW2.0

I don’t have an inch to spare in this blog but this video I found at http://alarnarosegray.com/2013/10/18/plastics-postscript/ was too important to let it go by unnoticed. Take a look you’ll see what I mean!

Uploaded on Apr 13, 2009
Read the article: http://ourworld.unu.edu/en/plastic-to…
The Japanese company Blest has developed one of the smallest and safest plastic-to-oil conversion machines out on the market today. It’s founder and CEO, Akinori Ito is passionate about using this machine to change the way people around the world think about their plastic trash. From solving our landfill and garbage disposal issues to reducing our oil dependancy on the Middle East, his machine may one day be in every household across Japan.
While holding up a bag of trash, he states, “It’s a waste to throw away, isn’t it? This is a treasure.”

Last of Easy-Party-recipe series (Part 4) Quick-cheap-Simple & easy treats & ideas

pop corn-1-

Who isn’t familiar with the good old bowl of pop corn but as easy as it may seem, I have burnt quite a few batches until I got it right and the first thing to think about is the pot that’ll make it happen.
It has to be air-tight so the corn can pop. Mine is so old, the handle has gone there’s even a small hole there instead but I cannot throw it because it has become my pop-corn-pot!
You need to cover generously the bottom layer with oil (I use olive & as usual nobody notices) and pour generously a bottom layer of organic corn grains (the video I posted in my blog has terrified me of anything GMO) but not too much or it’ll overflow!
I put it on maximum temperature, wait till I hear it popping furiously until it gets less then bring it down to a 5-6 which is a Medium flame (for gas) then wait some more for the noise to quieten down until it’s just a few pops and turn it off completely, shake the pot to hear if all grains have popped & it doesn’t rattle then, take off the lid so the steam doesn’t get a chance to soak the pop corn, pour in a steel bowl and add salt immediately or it won’t stick when cold.
You can choose to make a caramelized flavor but that’s more work so I hardly do it, but paprika powder or pili-pili is a good choice too.

Here’s another idea…

Boiled Spirelli salad with chunks of tuna, boiled organic green beans and pickled cucumber for those who like that seasoned with olive oil salt and black pepper.
We added an avocado-tomato-cucumber-pickled cucumber and grated carrots salad but I didn’t think it was relevant for the blog it was just something extra for the party.
All the other plates on the table have been posted previously in the natural-recipe category so, this is the last of my Easy-Party-recipe series. I hope you enjoyed it!

Thanks for all the feedback, likes and comments, it’s genuinely appreciated 🙂

Dead-easy 100% Natural Party dips & party table in a new series of easy party recipes!

Party dips

I have finally decided to post the dips I made for a birthday party this winter. I am posting the photo of the table & have decided to make it my new series of 100% natural party recipes as an incentive or I’ll procrastinate forever 🙂
The dips take a second, they are really easy to do. I don’t have too much patience for long & complicated… (I used too but not anymore) so, don’t panic… the idea that it’s homemade therefore complicated is just a myth, time have changed & people are adapting to the fast-paced life we have been pushed in.
I’ll start with the dark-orange-tomato-dip and go clockwise to the olive-dip,the ketchup-mayonnaise & finally the Guacamole-dip recipe.

Tomato dip recipe
—————-

Ingredients
———-

1. 3 fresh tomatoes (preferably organic)
2. 3 tbsp. oil (I put olive, it was undetectable)
3. 2 cloves garlic
4. 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
5. 1 tsp salt (taste & add according to taste)
6. 1/4 tsp. black pepper (again add if needed)
7. 1 heaped tbsp. tomato puree

Method
——

Mix in blender (I use a small hand one) add pili-pili if you like it sharp. I took my family to keep on tasting as I don’t include it in my food plan & added if they thought some ingredients were lacking (mainly salt & pepper)

Olive dip recipe
—————

Ingredients
———–

1. 1 tin of pitted green olives (around 400 to 500 gr. = 14 to 17 oz.)
2. 4 heaped tbsp. mayonnaise (try the natural organic if possible)

Method
——

Mix in blender & enjoy!

Ketchup dip recipe
—————–

Ingredients
———–

1. 50% mayonnaise (natural)
2. 50% ketchup
3. Scotch whisky (according to taste)

Method
——

Mix by hand and taste. This is a very popular “trick” so you probably know it 😉

Guacamole dip recipe
——————–

Ingredients
———–

1. 1-2 ripe avocado (depending on the quantity you need)
2. lemon juice (start with half a lemon & add to taste)
3. Salt & black pepper (to taste)

Method
——

Mix in blender. Leave in pits when refrigerated so the paste doesn’t darken. That’s how easy it gets and let the compliments pour in 🙂
