The Path of the Horse – Full Length documentary

Being a horse lover I found myself of late looking at many YouTube videos, on the different paths taken, to keep them as a hobby, train them as a job & have ended up with this one which I immediately connected with & could relate to from the first words pronounced…
It is a precious documentary on a personal journey of self & horse behavior…
On horse language & on how to bring out a maximum from a horse, the gentle way.
It is an hour long but oh so worth it if your interest lies in that direction 🙂
Wishing you a joyful summer!
All my apologies for not being able to like or comment but I need to focus on my family & spend quality time with them during summer time.

EFT Matrix Reimprinting and Meta-medicine demo for bipolar disorder-complete series

EFT Matrix Reimprinting and Meta-medicine demo for bipolar disorder part1/6

If you have followed this blog, you know I believe EFT ( Emotional Freedom Technique ) is a wonderful way to clean whatever past one has and live a better life.
Having said that, there’s an improved and more effective method which is EFT combined with Matrix Reimprinting. This is what you’ll watch in this complete series I’ve collected for you which truly fascinated me.
They took an extreme medical case of a Bipolar patient which strengthens my old beliefs that it IS possible to treat major medical cases (maybe not all of them) with alternative methods considering one has the will and belief to make it work.

It is not that long to watch, each one lasts only nine minutes approximately and is very stimulating in the sense that it broadens ones horizons 🙂

I’d love to hear your impressions!

I bet you have never heard Beethoven 5th played this way!

So this is why I enjoyed so much the first video I just posted!
I am not such an addict to classical music, I have to be in the mood… But this, for six important minutes transported me to a different dimension and made me forget for that long, all of life’s obligations.
I hope you will feel as I have, the passion with which these musicians played that piece of exquisite music. Let me know about it 🙂

Will he be able to make you love Chopin in twenty minutes?

http://wp.me/1gbup This is the shortlink to an amazing blogger. LaDona’s Music Studio who just posted this fascinating video so much so that I immediately wanted to share it with all of you.
I commented saying, that had I had such a teacher, I would not have given up the piano lessons I had started, twice and given up after a year and would have had seen classical music from a totally different angle.
His goal is, after twenty minutes in TED to make you love a piece of Chopin which is not an easy task for those who are not familiar with classical music.
I hope you will not only like this but love it!
Let me know how you experienced those twenty minutes 🙂

Angeles Arrien: Archetypal Forms and Forces (excerpt) — Thinking Allowed DVD w/ Jeffrey Mishlove

This video is the type you can watch a few times and each time,
listen to it differently, appreciate the depth and meaning
of her words a little more.

I found it on another blog but as I follow quite a few brilliant
bloggers, if I don’t write down straight away its origin it gets
lost in the labyrinth of my brain, which was this time, the case 🙂

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Her way of explaining how
to get about creativity and how it happens, is just beautiful.

Have a lovely weekend!

Archetypal energies beckon us to live a larger life. We are all healers, warriors, visionaries and teachers — but often these potentials remain in latent form. Through song, dance, storytelling and meditation we can activate these archetypes.

Angeles Arrien, Ph.D., a cross-cultural anthropologist, is on the faculty of the California Institute of Integral Studies and the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. She is author of The Tarot Handbook, The Fourfold Way and Signs of Life.

92Y Video From The Poetry Center Archives: Ian Frazier And John McPhee

Gabi Coatsworth is the one who introduced me to
the discovery of John Mc Phee when she reblogged
an article about him which was fascinating by just
a small published piece of an article he wrote. It
Came from the Fairfield Writer’s blog.

Indirectly, with this interview, I got to Ian Frazier,
who is a charismatic person in his own right and I am
sure going to look up soon enough his works too.

I then, looked John Mc Phee up on You tube and couldn’t get
enough interviews of him…

He is witty, fascinating in the knowledge that pours
out from him and a huge talent in the literate world.

I hope you will enjoy this delightful time you’ll spend
watching 🙂

Last December, Ian Frazier and John McPhee—two of The New Yorker’s best “place-profilers”— appeared at 92nd Street Y’s Unterberg Poetry Center to read from their new books: Frazier’s Travels in Siberia and McPhee’s Silk Parachute.

After their readings, the two writers were interviewed by Mark Singer, and today’s video features an excerpt from that conversation, which ranges from the origins of their recent work to how they’ve influenced each other over the years.

Justice: What’s the right thing to do? Episode 07: ” A lesson in lying “

Uploaded by Harvard on Sep 4, 2009
PART ONE: A LESSON IN LYING
Immanuel Kants stringent theory of morality allows for no exceptions. Kant believed that telling a lie, even a white lie, is a violation of ones own dignity. Professor Sandel asks students to test Kants theory with this hypothetical case: if your friend were hiding inside your home, and a person intent on killing your friend came to your door and asked you where he was, would it be wrong to tell a lie? If so, would it be moral to try to mislead the murderer without actually lying? This leads to a discussion of the morality of misleading truths. Sandel wraps up the lecture with a video clip of one of the most famous, recent examples of dodging the truth: President Clinton talking about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky.

PART TWO: A DEAL IS A DEAL

Sandel introduces the modern philosopher John Rawls and his theory of a hypothetical social contract. Rawls argues that principles of justice are the outcome of a special kind of agreement. They are the principles we would all agree to if we had to choose rules for our society and no one had any unfair bargaining power. According to Rawls, the only way to ensure that no one has more power than anyone else is to imagine a scenario where no one knows his or her age, sex, race, intelligence, strength, social position, family wealth, religion, or even his or her goals in life. Rawls calls this hypothetical situation a veil of ignorance. What principles would we agree to behind this veil of ignorance? And would these principles be fair? Professor Sandel explains the idea of a fair agreement with some humorous examples of actual contracts that produce unfair results.

An Introduction to Michael Sandel’s ” Justice ” course ( Harvard )

I spoke in my ” About ” how I was a big fan of Michael Sandel. It might even be an understatement!
I started looking on ” You tube ” at his course which I accidentally fell upon when he was on the front page.
In the beginning I took it as a challenge, but I was quickly hooked on it!
I never thought philosophy could be so fascinating, so intricately deep, so moral and so addictive 🙂
He is a genius in allowing the subject to be easy to understand and make sense.
When the course finished, I felt like an orphan.
What was I thinking? That the course would be going on forever?
I’ll post this introduction and will go on posting the whole course for the lovers of philosophy and whoever is not, this blog has enough material for all.
Enjoy it and let me know your impression.
