The flouted child 1990 ( English poem with French original text )

The flouted child
——————–

A child,
Is hope, It’s the future
A child,
Is the mirror of your memories
A child,
Is naïve, pure and sweet
A child,
Believes in you, but you’re harsh

A child is not a thing
An object to dispose of
It’s a being of its own
With emotions, a light

Do not abuse his faith
For you shall only have his mistrust
Be his enlightened torch
His exemplar for eternity

You closed your ears
To all advice
You wounded this bird
You broke the branch

This child,
Was the hope of your memories
The mirror of the future
His feelings were sacred
But you’ve erased them

L’Enfant bafoué
———————

L’enfant,
C’est l’espoir, c’est l’avenir
L’enfant,
C’est le miroir de tes souvenirs
L’enfant,
C’est naïf doux et pur
L’enfant,
Croit en toi mais, tu es dur

L’enfant n’est pas une chose
Un objet dont on dispose
C’est un être à part entière
Avec des sentiments, une lumière

N’abuse pas de sa confiance
Tu n’auras que sa méfiance
Sois son flambeau éclairé
Son exemple pour l’éternité
—————-

Tu as fermé l’oreille
A tous ces conseils
Tu as blessé cet oiseau
Tu as cassé le rameau

Cet enfant,
C’était l’espoir de tes souvenirs
Le miroir de l’avenir
Ses sentiments étaient sacrés
Mais tu les à effacé

The heart of life
—————–

I hear the music of your heart
That blossoms like a flower
You are drowsy with joy
You are a wonder in itself

I hear the music of the night
That shines in all its splendour
You wake up every time
And the sun is yours.

Then, sings the heart of life
And all the children smile at you
They clap their hands and invite you
To remain until the infinite

They do not ” hear ” the night
The thousand lights that shines
They see the wicked shadows
The tree branches coming and going

They crouch under their imaginary shelter
Hoping the arrival of a mother
That will take all the fears of the earth
That will console all the children of the universe

And with them you wake up
Showing them the sun
Life and all its grandeur
Night as well, without its fears.

Because you do not want to hasten them
Very slowly you break the light
With a gentle darkness
That will, for a few hours, last

So, children of the earth
You no longer need this mother ( you only need yours! )
Who’ll take your imaginary fears
The night is part of the universe

——————————–

If I, the heart of life
Calm your fears, I have not succeeded
I will make the night sing
I will put music in the “noises”

I will make the waters speak
To sooth your aches
I will make all the stars dance
To see your face, with a smile,
Light up!!

Have a wonderful week!

Le coeur de la vie
——————-

J’entends la musique de ton coeur,
Qui s’épanouit comme une fleur
Tu as sommeil de joie
Tu es une merveille en soi.

J’entends la musique de la nuit
Qui dans toute sa splendeur luit
Tu te réveilles chaque fois
Et le soleil est à toi.

Alors, chante le coeur de la vie
Et tous les enfants te sourient
Ils tapent des mains et t’invitent
A rester jusqu’à l’infinie

How do we clear our conditioned minds? 2012

Hi Everyone!

How do we clear our minds of given ideas? We know those ideas don’t suit us, yet we return to them in an automatic reflex.
I wish someone had the answer, meanwhile I settle with the saying ( If I remember it correctly ) ” repetition is the only form of consistency we can achieve “.
What came out of it nevertheless, was an article which I hope you’ll enjoy!

Our conditioned minds
———————–

” We come in for vanity, we continue for sanity, we stay for serenity ” . Another saying which is true, down to its last word. ( For anyone of you who have tried OA )
There’s only one slight problem there, we stay for years on the first sentence, before we realize it’s the last two, which are the glue to program.

They are the reason, people stick to meetings year in, year out, accepting the imperfections that come with the long journey we’ve embarked upon.
Our brains are so conditioned to think vainly, when our abstinence goes haywire, the first thing that comes to our mind is, ” I won’t fit into my jeans tomorrow! ”
But what about our thoughts, feelings, emotions, our view toward life, the world and the positivity that comes along with a serene abstinence, the sun that persistently manifests itself in the darkest of our wintry days?

THAT is actually the reason we stay on, paving our way, ( sometimes on hands and feet ) clearing the stones, which come along a new track. Or even an old one for that matter!
Our minds just need training. It needs getting into the habit of thinking sanely. knowing what truly matters. What is relevant in our lives right NOW. Is it the ” jeans ” or the sparkle, vitality, vigor, verve, zest, pep… So many synonyms yet all of them describe the exact way we feel on abstinence, and that’s the ONLY reason we’re still here.

Our psyche might still be on the old ” program ” by years of indoctrination and automatically goes to conceit but if we stop for a moment and ponder on why we stubbornly linger and try to carve for ourselves a little space in this amazing ” plan of action ” this very efficient ” project for the living ” we’d realize and conclude we’re in it for the ” core “.

For the soul it brings back to us.

Have a very good day!

Sobs from an abyss
——————

I address a prayer
A murmur, my torment
Beyond the barriers
At the level of precipices

Listen for a moment
The fires of the violence ( inner-turmoil )
The rage of the helplessness
The pain of an instant

Erase the tears
Locked in my heart
Give me arms ( tools )
To protect my dwelling ( The inner-self )

Rock me in your strength
Your power, your ease
Alone, I do not see
The sparks of your steps

So,
I address to you a prayer
Beyond the borders
A whisper, a song
And hope in unison!

Hope you enjoyed this!
