This poem was written last night as a result of a very close sibling clamming up when life gets well… what it gets!
I spontaneously resorted back to French (if you’ve followed my blog from the start you know I’m bilingual) feeling this time more comfortable expressing myself in that language after a long period of English.
The two version will be posted here.

Let me trespass…
Allow me your presence
Barricade not your life as mine
And cradle your soul to the rhythm of my footstep
Hang your thoughts in the arc of my expectations
To trace a way in the vast plains of hunger.
Share the valleys and peaks
Throwing loneliness to the jackals
To offer alms to the thirsty
She who dozes in the arms of the condemned.
Let us be tempted by union
Building a force to the winds and tides
To be able to nestle in the palm of our hands
The throbbing of our love
The roll of the drums
And reach it out
To a pulsating life…

Laisse moi trespasser…

The reality of who we all are

Weary is the runner
Who tried it all.
Nothing that can wrench
A smile from her heart
Has she found

Look and search some more
To run away from
The confinement of her reign.
Spent to the bone
Society lifting her up to hegemony (1)

Weary is she, the runner
Who is a slave to her name
Starting off out of ardor
Never for the claim.
Loosing amity along the track

Collecting honorariums
Thrown at her as a redress
To satisfy her hunger
For fusion and empathy
What is given to the many

Oh! She does find it…
Between two laps of breath
Falling into the trap of poise
The opulence of comfort
The warmth of Kith & Kin

Only to be snatched back
To the constant drill.
Why me, does she ask
Were my choices a delusion
The erratum of my own doing (2)

Speculating she is the only
Stooge life has nominated
The quarry that has stumbled
On a boulder that was waft
On the path of earth

She vows to sleep on these
Wise discoveries with hope
Next day would bring
More reflection and ease
To the happy runner

She wants so much to embody
Still unaware of the cheers
And encouragement of peers
That have been forged by
That same mass hurled

At what became their biography

I decided to post this painting project as an incentive.

I found the picture somewhere and instantly felt a kinship, it was MY style of art. I had what you call in French ” un coup de coeur ” for it ( meaning

falling in love with something ) and wanted to get to work immediately.

I finished it in small ( a rectangular 24 cm wide = 9.4 inches, 30 cm long = 11.8 inches ) called it ” Guardians of the city ” and felt it a challenge to dive into deeper waters and go bigger ( 80 cm =
31.4 inches ) in square version this time.

It was my first Big painting! Meanwhile I have done many others but, this one just seemed to lag behind…

Every time I worked on it, I saw all the million of details to be refined… I got sometimes discouraged by the magnitude

of the ” job ” and once you start thinking of it as a job, you pause and remind yourself why you had started in the first place with painting.

I waited for the moment of inspiration, which disappears as quickly as it comes ( I call it ” frenzy for… ” it shows up in bouts ) the adventure turned out to become a non-ending assignment.
