The fantasy tree updated

If you remember, I posted the fantasy tree not too far back, mentioning the doubts I had toward this work. This is the first time I felt a project gnaw slowly its way, until I could no more but plunge into the risky waters of uncertainty, preferring that than living with the feeling of not being complete with it.
Working long hours I finally was one hundred percent satisfied with its result.
The thickness was produced by heavy painting and extra heavy gel medium I’ve discovered lately & really enjoy working with!
This is the continuation of an abstract collection called “the tree collection”

Evolution’s trek (painting finally finished!)

This painting was started in 2012 which I am relieved to say I have finished! I am very proud of it for the very reason that it was my work and idea from scratch.

The screws are life’s question marks, we are full of them… we are born with two principal ones. Will I get enough food and will I get enough sleep and as we go further we accumulate the questioning (which along the way gets smaller because answered through searching in life’s trek, the smaller ones get sometimes linked or shaped in hearts) it eventually gets fewer, sparser, lighter which is why I put in round natural stones representing bubbles… the airiness, the wellbeing one experiences with aging and serenity.
At the extreme corner there are no more questions, no bubbles (bubbles are to underline the contrast, the presence of… the other extreme) I wanted the purity of the white canvas to speak for a million words and represent the plenitude one feels with maturity and age.
The splashes of satin paint are faithful to Jackson Pollock’s methods which I’m very much pulled toward and represents the life force and energy.
I am including photos of the work process until its final stage.

Easy Party recipe (Part 2) Multi-purpose EASIEST 100% natural dough recipe!

Do you remember when I posted quite a while back this brilliant dough recipe where it can be used for practically anything? From chocolate, raisins, poppy-seeds, lemon, coffee, carrot, almond or English fruit cake… anything your heart desires! All needed is to stamp it with your own creativity 🙂
It is sugar-egg-coloring-additive-free & as usual with extra virgin olive oil & 80% wholemeal spelt flour but you can change it to un-natural if you prefer.
I had then posted my dried fruit version in a cake & muffins possibility, now I’m introducing to you the photos of the marble, chocolate & raisins ones but as I’d baked it the same day & didn’t have time to let it cool down and be refrigerated, they crumbled a bit so, my apologies for that!

For the flavors I put a little in, eg. cocoa & give it for someone to taste & add more if necessary.

Stepping into a rhapsody
Opening the doors to where
Pigmentation, structure & grain
Prime over mundanities.

Where comfort & authenticity poise.
We climb stairs leading to candor &
Iridescence, to a life of devotion
& skill, brushes & tubes aligned,
Immaculate, waiting for its owner
To choose its dean.

Spread layers upon layers
Of tenor & soul,
Gist & dreams,
Hope for the morrow…

Rows of monuments, wordless poems,
Music without notes, cascading on
Tight canvasses soothing our sore eyes,
Blending with the skies, soliciting the trees & seas…
We leave our calling & join thoughts around
A table of carved & sanded wood, Built

As fervidly as the
Murals, the boat…
Joined particles of
An ardent prayer…

We get up & glance to our right
At a kitchen composed as an Ode
To purity…born of a sparkling mind,
Nobility of a soul. More paintings
Hanging on walls & we slide back
Into the current of the mundane,

Bright sun & façades
Humming… beating
The drums to another tune,
Alluring us to idleness.

Tearing ourselves from the transient
Gratitude pumping our bursting veins
Aware of having been beckoned into what
Escapes most…of peeping through the keyhole
Of kudos, we withdraw cherishing a
Sketched memory of our encounter,

Depicting it into the
Chronicles of our lives
As a privileged slip
In the cracks of time.
