There still is a lot more work to be done on this one but I wanted to keep you updated with the stages it’s going through.
Here, I am using extra strong gel medium to even out the texture and “nooks and crannies” of each flame which is a work of patience that I’ll have to take in my stride especially after just recovering from the flue. This is the last project of my bonfire collection.
You can check the first ones in this blog by typing in the search sidebar Bonfire and scrolling down to check the four…
Please excuse any mistakes in this post as it is the first time I am not using my laptop to do it.
It’s a great relief to have worked out how to be able to post from anywhere.
Any suggestions or tips would be welcomed and truly helpful ☺
Proudly presenting…
Turbulences. 30/30cm 3.1/2 cm deep.
Forces of nature always fascinated me, tornadoes are one of them.
A demonstration of raw power par excellence.
Having said that I’d rather stick to my canvas than approaching one of them.
Please scroll down for close ups…
Notice the movement & metallic colors used to convey the electrifying energy emanating from
a stormy atmosphere.
Extra strong gel medium was used to produce the relief.
Having had a good feedback on this small version, my next project will be a much bigger one…
Thank you all so much for your continual support.
Your visits, likes & comments are most valuable to me!
I want to take this opportunity to announce the opening of my new online shop on Saatchi Art (I encountered too many technical difficulties on Etsy when they lately changed their rules)
Will keep you updated as soon as I have the time to feed my account with photos of my painting collections.
This is a painting I sketched in 2012. I got busy with other projects then came back to it in 2014 & have been busy with it ever since.
Now I am so very proud to announce it finished & will include bellow the steps toward its completion 🙂
Your input will be more than welcome!
This Film is in no way a eerie or creepy movie which is what I thought originally & debated whether I should waste my time scaring myself instead of relaxing to a more positive story, it therefore took me a few weeks to be in a curious mood enough to watch it.
Well, I was in for a surprise.
I agree, you have to be in a specific mood & not everyone may like the settings which oscillates between a movie & documentary but oh! so enriching!
You come out of it understanding what is vital for physical as much as for mental survival, it broaches the moral debates of crucial decisions in desperate times & there are bound to be conflicting opinions there but all in all if you want to be jolted from your every day routine & the complacency, torpor or maybe frustration that goes with it… this is your film.
Most of all even though he came so close to death, his ordeal didn’t stop him picking himself back up, get on with his life & going further with what he enjoyed most… climbing!
Most, myself included would have blocked totally at the fear of it happening again, that I found was a powerful message.
You can follow his next expedition in “The beckoning silence” on You Tube.
The first full length film “Touching the void” is on YouTube but I didn’t want to use up space on my blog so I thought the trailer will be enough to spur you into action 🙂
Let me know what impressions it left on you.
Have a lovely weekend!

I just received this video thinking it’ll be the typical nature-sweet-story but found myself laughing all the way through amazed at the gall of this Mongoose going after not one lion who could kill her with the blink of an eye but four… which shows that it’s not the size that counts as much as the determination & she has it in bucket load!
There’s a lot we can learn from animal-behavior & I have the feeling that even though information is so much more available today we only have seen a fraction of it.
Just thought it would be a nice way to start off your week 🙂

Lion Vs Mongoose: Mongoose Fends Off Four Lions
Four lions were left with their tails between their legs when a mongoose bravely took on the predators. Despite being under two feet tall, the aggressive mongoose growled at the felines and even bit one on the nose. The shocking fight, which was photographed in 2011 but has just been released, began in the Masaai Mara National Park, Kenya, when photographer Jerome Guillaumot came across four young lions surrounding the terrified marsh mongoose. The lions chased the mongoose into a hole in the ground but the small animal reemerged to fight the predators once again before running for cover. I just received this video…the ending was so sweet & unexpected I had to post it straight away & share it with all of you 🙂
Enjoy!

I have seen many spectacular renovated castles & houses in this series but this one surpassed them all in its originality in the recycling domain.
So much so that I felt I had to share it with you so you don’t miss out on ideas if any of you are contemplating to build your own home 🙂
Enjoy!

I checked the trailer which I’m posting now & will give you the title for the whole video to see on You tube (it will take too much space here)
It is another story of hope, creativity & so much more I can hardly put into words…

What a lesson! When I think how we so quickly give up our dreams and how we take for granted what appears to be so small to our eyes as reading…
This is a truly remarkable short video found on http://davidkanigan.com/2013/12/09/get-in-there-and-learn-baby-now/
Take a second to be truly inspired 🙂
