I did it! Do you remember? In November I posted a small canvas of a bomb-fire saying I intended to go much bigger, 100/140 cm (39.3/55.1 inches) see, https://oawritingspoemspaintings.wordpress.com/2014/11/09/my-bonfire-painting-from-sketch-to-canvas-still-growing/ well, I finally finished it & want to share with you the first to final stages.
It came out different & on my art teacher’s advice I’m keeping it that way, I can always make a bigger replica of the smaller one later on.
Each work is like tearing off a gift’s wrapping wondering what’s going to be inside, the results never fail to surprise you… it usually takes you to paths never explored before.
I loved the warmth that emanates from this one, what do you think?

New beginnings! My whole blog is refreshed & gleaming…

I’ve reached the top!

This time I’ve reached the top & can shout properly out loud! What a relief but what a pleasure to know everything is glowing…
I restored the photos back in the last three categories, Writings, O.a writings, award and celebrations and even polished it further by editing a bit the first few articles which were as my first experiences far from agreeable to the eye 🙂
The whole setting of the articles has changed as I replaced inadequate photos which others more relevant to the subject & of far better quality, even the awards & celebrations category catches the eye by its vivid colors!

There is a big sense of satisfaction for having done the job properly…
This whole adventure got me thinking about growth & life’s journey. This blog has been a long process of stages.

1. I learn how to write, edit & post. I feel I’ve climbed the tip of a mountain
2. I visit other blogs & get advice how to add pictures & compare myself to Einstein for having succeeded
3. I sweat over the blog to add them until it looks brilliant & think this is the end of a grueling but satisfying job.
4. I erase them all again & when I realize my error I feel my blood pressure skyrocketing (I’ve never had problems with that)
5. Now I’m done and feel I can now focus on the million tasks awaiting me that have been postponed for this and wonder if it is the end of a roller-coasters & trying beginnings… I sincerely hope so!

Last but not least I want to thanks you all for your advice, my GB went from overloaded at 76% down to 5%! I am very grateful for your help & support throughout.
As new beginnings require, I am going to change a few things & hope I get your understanding here too 🙂

I am going to have to get on with my painting after focusing on my writing for a whole year which I’ve truly enjoyed & in order to have time for that I’ll have to reduce my “reader” time & liking to one day a week.

I’ll keep you updated with the results & go on posting in the various categories my blog owns.

My deep gratitude goes to all of you, my faithful followers…through thick & thin 🙂
Thank you!

The rose caught in a rainfall

I have realized that even though I have plucked up my courage tonight & started to restore my photography section (which is much harder than the two previous ones I did as each post can contain up to nine photos!) I still need to share with all of my faithful followers, my work… one of them photography and offer you this rose offered to me 😉 and caught in a rainfall (which I’m quite proud of :)) as a tribute to the very talented photographers I follow out there & from whom I learn everyday a bit more.

I am taking this opportunity to remind you how amazing you all are & how much I’ve benefited from your blogs since I opened mine a year & four months ago should it be in my writing, poetry, painting, gardening or photography.

Thank you!

I can’t believe I did it! It was a sheer marathon, I’ve been busy today (besides last week & the week before…) for 11 hrs precisely restoring & improving the whole category.

My beginnings were…well, as a beginner and I made some changes in the titles so that the translations would follow the French original text (the first few poems were in separate posts) the photos settings are fewer & all mine practically compared to copyright free drawings previously taken from Google.

My next self-imposed assignment will be my painting category. A blogger brought it to my attention when she browsed through it & couldn’t find any. As a result it appears to me as a priority. But I’ll start next week in order to recuperate & put my neck at rest from these long hours 🙂

Feel free to browse & let me know if you enjoy the improvements… Any of you with ideas on how to improve this blog will be welcome. My goal is to make it easy and pleasant to visit!

Enjoy the rest of the week!
