I promised a while back that I would slow down on my blog to work on painting among others & would let you know about the progress so, here is one of the results!
Bonfire is a sketch I had made in 2011, my brush took over as it happens in few but special moments without my ever thinking of a bomb-fire & to my surprise that’s what unfolded in front of my eyes…
You can check here… https://oawritingspoemspaintings.wordpress.com/?s=Bomb-fire
Three years fast forward and I try & capture the magic of those colors on a 40/30 cm (11.8/15.7 inches) & aiming to go further in a much bigger size of 100/140 cm (39.3/55.1 inches)
Wish me luck 🙂
Here goes the process from 1st layer to last…

My “Bonfire” painting from sketch to canvas & still growing…
My rare tulip!
What I love most
About tulip bulbs,
Is the surprise
In stock…
Some come out
Flashy round,
Ordinary and
Extraordinary
Others take you
Completely by
Surprise…
Pointy, green
And ornamented
With pink, frilly
Edges, giving it
A rare crispy
Ethereal quality!
Burano 2013 ( French Poem with English translation )
This poem is the result of having the privilege to meet this amazing talent and renowned
Painter Carlo Memo while visiting his small village in Burano.
Burano
——–
Burano
Small village
Miniature
Of laces
And fishermen
Of bright sun
And vibrant colors
You locked away
Your best
Hidden secret
Your painter
Your genius
His talent
——-
Our visit
This new acquaintance
This world
Barely scratched
The flash of a passion
For art
In its pure and raw state
Burano, village
Miniature
Of giant talent
Your secret
Is hidden
No more

Burano
Petit village
Miniature
De dentelles
Et pêcheurs
De soleil vif
Et couleurs éclatantes
Tu enfermes
Ton meilleur
Secret caché
Ton peintre
Ton génie
Son talent

Notre visite
Cette nouvelle connaissance
Ce monde
A peine effleuré
L’éclair d’une passion
Pour l’art
A l’état pur et brut
Burano, village
Miniature
Au talent gigantesque
Ton secret
N’est plus
