Celebration

_20170912_100223

Hi everyone!
I couldn’t believe five whole years have gone by since I started this blog.
Forgive my absence.
Lately I have been having computer issues and couldn’t keep you updated with my work, the exhibition, my photography…
But I promise to start posting again as soon as it’s all fixed.
Only then will I feel entitled to fully celebrate this milestone 🙂
Best of luck to all my faithful followers and visitors and best wishes for a safe and warm winter!

NOOMA Stories – Amy

Sophie33 commented on https://oawritingspoemspaintings.wordpress.com/2015/03/14/lambs-lettuce-radishes-for-inspiration/ mentioning a cold frame (I only was familiar with greenhouses)& in order to picture what she had described I went on Google images.
My perfectionism lead me to unknown territories as most of the time (I like to investigate new info to the last detail :)) that is how I came across this very courageous blogger https://amyecotarian.wordpress.com/2010/03/01/years_first_cold-frame/ that happened to be in WordPress. Her story is one of courage, of questioning one’s life & re-orientation. When she left a link for her video on Youtube & saw it I thought this might be something my followers would enjoy & learn from. Let me know if I was on the right track 🙂
P.S As I saw other videos under the NOOMA name & realised it was affiliated to a certain belief which I’m not familiar with & reassure you of keeping up to my intention.
From the birth of this blog I had made the decision of dedicating it solely to one of art & inspiration void of politics or religious persuasion, I wanted to make clear, remind the intentions of this blog & reassure my followers of keeping faithful to its origin 🙂

Nominated for three awards at once…Thank you!

the lighthouse award

very inspiring blogger award

awsome blossom award

I feel very honored & privileged to come back with three awards in a row given so generously from
http://acuriousmind2013.wordpress.com/2014/03/04/very-inspiring-blogger-award-the-lighthouse-award-and-plus-one-%E2%98%BA/
Every time I get an award I’m as delighted as the first & surprised that bloggers would think my blog worthy of the tittles showered upon.
I’ll always be very grateful for this show of trust so, thank you to all who have until now believed in my work!

So, now for the lighthouse award I will share three ways I like to help people…

1. I like to lend an ear & find together with the person a practical solution to her dilemma.
2. Feel very honored to help a sweet old lady in the store when she picks me out of the crowd to help her with the smaller writings on a product.
3. And last but not least, as I consider my kids to be people too that come first on my list of priorities I want to be there for them 24/7 in case they need me.

Now, for the very inspiring blogger award seven trivial things about me… Mmm, that might be hard 🙂

1. I worry more than I should… but music can be the escape
2. I believe life should be far less complicated than we make it
3. I’d like things to sail smoothly but reality hits every time to remind me it’s breathing & alive 😉
4. I’d love to be surrounded by nature day in day out
5. I think it’s of utmost importance to appreciate every moment of the day but don’t always manage to
6. A very good joke is very hard to find & when you do it does the world of good
7. A good Macrobiotic restaurant is something I dream of

And the nominees are…

1. http://ladybluerose.wordpress.com/ A most precious blogger
2. http://momentswithmillie.wordpress.com/ Very worthy of these awards
3. http://myraysoflight.wordpress.com/ So very inspiring
4. http://living-simply-free.com/ A tremendous example
5. http://suedreamwalker.wordpress.com/ A very generous soul
6. http://soberidentity.com/ A true gem

Thanks once again for these awards!

Nomination for the Versatile blogger’s award!

versatile-blogger-wordpress

I was kindly nominated for the versatile blogger’s award as a big new year’s surprise by http://earth-rider.com/2013/12/27/the-season-of-giving-awards/ and even though I had taken the resolution to restore all my vanished photos back into my blog instead of forever procrastinating I decided that such generosity shouldn’t go unnoticed & took upon myself to immediately get to it before getting on with the restoration…
So, my excuses go to all my bloggers for not following, liking your posts. I hope you forgive me & understand the sacrifices needed for me to update my blog.

A blog is not one of quality when the photography or the natural recipes categories are void of photos…

Here are the rules I got from http://versatilebloggeraward.wordpress.com/vba-rules/

Thank the person who gave you this award. That’s common courtesy.
Include a link to their blog. That’s also common courtesy — if you can figure out how to do it.
Next, select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly. ( I would add, pick blogs or bloggers that are excellent!)
Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award — you might include a link to this site.
Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.

So, here goes, the fifteen bloggers I nominated are …

http://oilpastelsbymary.com/2013/12/11/snowy-field-oil-pastel/
http://inkspeare.me/
http://elenacaravela.wordpress.com/2013/12/11/watercolor-wednesday-52/
http://seasonspoetry.com/
http://awapara.wordpress.com/
http://gentleperseverence.wordpress.com/2013/12/10/anxiety-stirring-up-and-some-other-updates/
http://suedreamwalker.wordpress.com/
http://isabellaesthermariarose.com/
http://blogyvonne.wordpress.com/
http://alarnarosegray.com/
http://clairecappetta.wordpress.com/
http://friendlyfairytales.com/
http://thekitchensgarden.com/
http://soberidentity.com/
http://clanmother.com/

I know that not all of these bloggers will have the time to accept this award as it is quite time consuming nevertheless they are each and everyone in its own right a blogger of tremendous high quality which merits to be recognized by publishing its link in this blog.
This will be my tribute to their achievement in the domain of their endeavor 🙂

Finally I’ll include as it’s required seven things about myself.

1. I’m mad about the sea & anything connected to nature
2. One of my dreams is to go off-grid & live off the fruits of my labor
3. I dream (once again 😉 ) of a kind gentle honest world
4. I’d like to secure a safe future for my grandchildren
5. Surrounded in an atmosphere of artists is where I’d love to thrive in
6. It would be nice if my weaknesses would get weaker 😉
7. I’d love one day to have the privilege to meet a personality (again, in the domain of art)

All my thanks again for this award!

Will he be able to make you love Chopin in twenty minutes?

http://wp.me/1gbup This is the shortlink to an amazing blogger. LaDona’s Music Studio who just posted this fascinating video so much so that I immediately wanted to share it with all of you.
I commented saying, that had I had such a teacher, I would not have given up the piano lessons I had started, twice and given up after a year and would have had seen classical music from a totally different angle.
His goal is, after twenty minutes in TED to make you love a piece of Chopin which is not an easy task for those who are not familiar with classical music.
I hope you will not only like this but love it!
Let me know how you experienced those twenty minutes 🙂
