Proudly presenting…
Turbulences. 30/30cm 3.1/2 cm deep.
Forces of nature always fascinated me, tornadoes are one of them.
A demonstration of raw power par excellence.
Having said that I’d rather stick to my canvas than approaching one of them.
Please scroll down for close ups…
Notice the movement & metallic colors used to convey the electrifying energy emanating from
a stormy atmosphere.
Extra strong gel medium was used to produce the relief.
Having had a good feedback on this small version, my next project will be a much bigger one…
Thank you all so much for your continual support.
Your visits, likes & comments are most valuable to me!
I want to take this opportunity to announce the opening of my new online shop on Saatchi Art (I encountered too many technical difficulties on Etsy when they lately changed their rules)
Will keep you updated as soon as I have the time to feed my account with photos of my painting collections.
I was preparing myself a plate of organic greens washing the earth off & noticed the colour contrast, the beauty of fresh food which lead me to a photo shoot craze… There was no photoshop involved besides the middle one where I played a bit with the colour.
Which one is your favorite?
I walk and I see
The beauty of simplicity
That one buttercup standing out
Shooting upward among short green grass
Calling out, screaming out for my discernment
I answer in spite of myself and approach as a somnambulist,
Hand stretched out ready to stroke the stem, the petals, gently
Guiding it toward my tool of appreciation, the more I use it on the
Small, the further is its individuality magnified… I close onto its delicacy,
Its silky petals, the brightness of unadulterated yellow, the intricacies of its
Nerve map, the bulge of its heart and discover the secret of purity.
Je marche et je vois
La beauté de la simplicité
Cet unique bouton d’or saillir
It’s the less traveled “streets” of Venice.
The ones you can stop by and absorb the
Depth, its color, shadows and reflections…
In short all it has to offer to the knowing eye
The one who has already witnessed the Venice of
Sequins and glitter… curious of its authenticity
Thirsty for its poetic form shrouded in dreamy
quality.
Seeking solace in its troglodyte spots.
P.s
I am going to have to take time off for my family.
Exams are approaching & I need to be there & offer my support
we then go into summer holidays.
My apologies but I will be back hopefully with a whole bunch
of summer light in my photography 🙂
Now that I have my brand new gardening section I have the incentive to share my previous attempts at it.
This is the continuation of our chick pea experience which you can check here… https://oawritingspoemspaintings.wordpress.com/2013/07/09/our-chick-peas-experience/ we managed to grow one chick pea out of the whole plant which is a far cry from proper gardening (let’s put it this way, it won’t feed the family!) but that one was just as exciting as the pepper we discovered two days ago 🙂
If anybody had a successful try at it, I’d be more than happy to take the advice!
I took photos of the maturation process, just scroll down…
Have a relaxing weekend 🙂
This shot came as a surprise, it was only after I had taken it that I noticed the remarkable resemblance between the three so, I’m posting this to gratify the day with a sparkle of humor 🙂
This video is fascinating to watch in the sense that one realizes the delicate balance of Ecology… the powerful role & contribution as a consequence of each & every animal.
It has enlightened me & hope it’ll have the same effect on you 🙂

NOTE: There are “elk” pictured in this video when the narrator is referring to “deer.” This is because the narrator is British and the British word for “elk” is “red deer” or “deer” for short. The scientific report this is based on refers to elk so we wanted to be accurate with the truth of the story.

When wolves were reintroduced to Yellowstone National Park in the United States after being absent nearly 70 years, the most remarkable “trophic cascade” occurred. What is a trophic cascade and how exactly do wolves change rivers? George Monbiot explains in this movie remix.
