My pen & paper… my Aeneas

After a long absence I take you between my thumb & index
Hoping to continue an interrupted alliance.
In doubtful moments you call, I long…

Words, shapes, phrases, impressions, perceptions, all dance
To my attention but life hollers, its pulse goes on beating,
Its stream resumes its course then, I forget…

I adapt… Until your next signal.

I remember the bond, the relief, sincerity & trust…
Treating you as a living might be ridiculed, to me you are
Most alive, available around the world,

Pristine & unwrinkled you absorb my unpublished, my Arcanum. (1)
Your condition, that I come along provided with ink & scratch
The cavities of my brain.

I will always be thirsty for more so, after a long or short lapse
Count me among your unwavering, your fidus Achates. (2)
My pen & paper, my Aeneas. (3)

P.S This poem was written far back in 1991 then I adjusted it in 2013 & today I readjusted it again!
hope you’ll like it 🙂

(1) Arcanum

A deep secret, a mystery

(2) Fidus Achates

A faithful friend or companion

(3) Aeneas

n. Greek & Roman Mythology
The Trojan hero of Virgil’s epic poem, the Aeneid, and son of Anchises and Aphrodite. He escaped the sack of Troy and wandered for seven years before settling in Italy.

As we were taking a stroll in a park on a wonderfully peaceful rainy day where scent, mist & hue mingle, I came across this weird looking leaf which appeared to be on the move 😉
I took a few with different shapes, colors & composed a setting nearby to try & bring out to the eyes of my viewers, its tones & curves.
Anyone out there with a name for this vegetable-worm?

Lara Fabian – Je t’aime

Presque comme une mère, tu me bordais, me protégais

TRANSLATION:
Agree, there existed other ways of parting
A few debris of glass maybe could have helped us
In this bitter silence, I decided to forgive
The faults which we are done when loving so much
Agree, the small girl in me often claimed you
almost like a mother, you guarded me, u protected me
I’ve stolen this blood from you that we shouldn’t have shared
At end of words and dreams I’m gonna scream:

I love you, I love you
like a crazy, like a soldier
like a movie star
I love you, I love you
as a wolf, as a king
as a man that i’m not
you see, i love you like that

Agree, I trusted you all my smiles and secrets
Same those shameful, for which only a brother is the guard
In this stony house,
Satan watched us dance
I wanted so much the war of bodies which made the peace

I love you, I love you
like a crazy, like a soldier
like a star of cinema
I love you, I love you
as a wolf, as a king
as a man that i’m not
you see, i love you like that

Old coins & semi-precious stones…

Of old coins & stones... ©copyright2014owpp

Of old coins & stones…
©copyright2014owpp

He fondles them between his fingertips blindly sensing the clefts & burgeoning ends
Leaping gullies & cliffs tamping down the deluge escalating… sighing as the summer
Breeze guessing the brightness of the Tiger’s eyes, transparency of a Quartz, freshness
Of a dark blue sea Howlite & old (false:)) coins etched skillfully in history…

Desire to own unparalleled beauty, frenzy inundating his senses, rationality flying out
To mountain’s guts where stones are born wrenched from nature’s grip…
He who tries to capture the unattainable, for riches come & go, heritage too fetching
To compass too grand to retain but frozen into words to depict the memory of the chosen.

P.s I love stones & coins for a very long time, I feel each one has a lot to say.
I hope these photos and poem give credit to their beauty
P.P.s I got an answer on the “nameless stone” it’s an Agate! You can check the blogger who sent it in the comments bellow.

Shouting on the rooftops!!! My photography category is RESTORED!!!

Celebration!!! ©copyright2014owpp

Celebration!!!
©copyright2014owpp

Today I feel like shouting off the rooftops, blowing them away!!! I cannot believe I did it!! It took me a whole week… long & intensive days of repetitive movements… But finally the photography category is RESTORED!

It has immensely improved, I would be proud & honored if you’d take the liberty to browse through and give me your impressions.

I kept promising & procrastinating, discouraging at the sheer amount of energy needed to correct my ignorance.
But a promise is a promise!

You all remember the shock and horror I felt when I had thought I was making order in my media “cleaning” it up
only to realize that all the photos on my blog had vanished…

I am now halfway through so, I still need your patience:)
I am hardly reading any posts as all my time goes to the restoration but it’ll get done and life will resume its course after that.

I am looking forward to it 🙂

P.s
The photo was taken on new year as a first time experience on firework-photography. It took me about two hundred shots to select a few, it was a thrilling & creative experience which I’ll share with you as soon as I’m done with this!

A memorable day in Holland-Dordrecht # 3 (my third video!)

Quite a while back I posted a French poem translated in English on Holland the authentic.
This country has a spell on me 🙂 I find it refreshing, rejuvenating, eco-friendly, positively charming and magical.
This time I’m posting a video of another memorable day… my photos accompanied by music.
Let me know what you think of it!

P.s I have put my three videos under the tittles:

Unique Film of Pierre-Auguste Renoir Painting (1919) Including two others of A.Rodin & C.Monet

I found this rare piece, a pure treasure from the blogger http://ladonasmusicstudio.com/ and couldn’t resist the urge to share it with all of you!
I added two other very short films of two monstrous artists… Auguste Rodin and Claude Monet
Enjoy it 🙂

Pierre-Auguste Renoir – Filmed Painting at Home (1919)

This is unique footage of the great Impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919).

He is seen at home, working on a canvas.

I’m just astonished it exists – I never imagined I’d see film of him painting – you even get a sense of his method of applying the oil to the canvas.

Also present in this footage are Renoir’s youngest son Claude, 14, who stands by to arrange the palette and place the brush in his father’s hand, and Sacha Guitry, the man who made this film in 1915 and who appears midway through the film sitting down and talking with the artist.

Enjoy!

Auguste Rodin – Filmed Sculpting in his Studio (1915)

Published on 26 Aug 2013
This is unique film of the father of modern sculpture, Auguste Rodin (1840-1917), working in his studio in Paris in 1915.

What is particularly interesting in the various pieces of footage is seeing — close up – the artist’s process with marble.

There are four segments of film:

[1] The artist walking up and down the steps of a monumental columned building, and inspecting the structure

[2] Rodin posing top-hatted in a garden

[3] The sculptor coming out of the then derelict C18 Hôtel Biron, which the artist used as his studio

[4] Rodin sculpting in his studio

Claude Monet – Filmed Painting Outdoors (1915)

Published on 26 Aug 2013
This is unique film of French Impressionist painter Claude Monet (1840-1926), painting outdoors, ‘en plein air’, in his garden at Giverny.

The footage is in two segments.

Firstly we see the artist outdoors talking to a gentleman.

Then we see Monet painting a water lily-padded pond, a subject for which he is most famed.

Enjoy!
