Turbulences. 30/30cm 3.1/2 cm deep.
Forces of nature always fascinated me, tornadoes are one of them.
A demonstration of raw power par excellence.
Having said that I’d rather stick to my canvas than approaching one of them.

Notice the movement & metallic colors used to convey the electrifying energy emanating from
a stormy atmosphere.
Extra strong gel medium was used to produce the relief.

Having had a good feedback on this small version, my next project will be a much bigger one…

The fantasy tree.
A new addition to the Zen tree collection.
This is my latest work. One that I have struggled with in the sense that I debated whether or not I should work further on it. I have sometimes made wrong decisions and spoiled projects so this time I let it simmer… And concluded that I loved too much the curves,texture, hue and shapes (that represent in my opinion a perfect abstract composition) to sacrifice it by attempting some kind of modification.
The thickness was produced by heavy painting and extra heavy gel medium I’ve discovered lately & really enjoy working with!

Close ups to follow… This is the continuation of an abstract collection called “the Zen tree collection”
P.s I would like to give a big thank you to Theecograndma.com for helping me out with signing my works, something I wished to do for quite a while but every information I got from good willing followers led me to a standstill.

Continuation of the “Zen collection” including close ups of brush imprints, relief, texture & tones.
In this work I painted “veins” from paintbrush imprints.
Once dry, I followed the lines leading me to various beautiful tree structures which reminded me of genealogy trees hence its symbolic title.
Notice the differences in trees… its shape, height, width, it can easily be related to family structures. Feel free to use your life experience & creativity to interpret it accordingly.

My excuses for making myself so rare on WordPress for the “reader” as much as for the posts, I have just been sick with flue twice, painted nearly full time (will keep you updated once they are completed, for the moment I’m filing their progress for you) & have been very hectic in between too.
As soon as things boil down to a “simmering” routine I hope to be able to get back to things as before.

As “Sun among foliage” this one is brand new but was painted a few days before. I am including close ups so you can notice the brush strokes of the vortex itself & the movement of the palette knife around, which reveals a multitude of colours from an under layer representing life as being faithful to its bright cheerful miraculous entity even when it gets very hectic & eventful.
