Bonfire 4 Finally complete 100/160cm

Bonfire 4 100-160m. 19.10.2015-a-1-

This is (most probably) the last of the four Bonfires in this collection.
I went bigger with this canvas (twenty centimeters taller than the previous one).
What I like with painting is that each project of the same theme is unique in its own right.
I never let go of my paintings until I am so complete & happy with it they become my babies 😉
How do you compare them & which one is your favorite?

I did it! Do you remember? In November I posted a small canvas of a bomb-fire saying I intended to go much bigger, 100/140 cm (39.3/55.1 inches) see, https://oawritingspoemspaintings.wordpress.com/2014/11/09/my-bonfire-painting-from-sketch-to-canvas-still-growing/ well, I finally finished it & want to share with you the first to final stages.
It came out different & on my art teacher’s advice I’m keeping it that way, I can always make a bigger replica of the smaller one later on.
Each work is like tearing off a gift’s wrapping wondering what’s going to be inside, the results never fail to surprise you… it usually takes you to paths never explored before.
I loved the warmth that emanates from this one, what do you think?

I promised a while back that I would slow down on my blog to work on painting among others & would let you know about the progress so, here is one of the results!
Bonfire is a sketch I had made in 2011, my brush took over as it happens in few but special moments without my ever thinking of a bomb-fire & to my surprise that’s what unfolded in front of my eyes…

Three years fast forward and I try & capture the magic of those colors on a 40/30 cm (11.8/15.7 inches) & aiming to go further in a much bigger size of 100/140 cm (39.3/55.1 inches)
Wish me luck 🙂

Hi everyone!

This painting was effortless, just pure relaxation and joy to add color on top of color
until I got the right texture and light to it.
Let me know your impression… Your likes and comments are always very much appreciated 🙂
