Trees of life. Zen collection 6.

Trees of life. Zen collection 6. (not posted in numerical order) ©copyright2015owpp
Continuation of the “Zen collection” including close ups of brush imprints, relief, texture & tones.
In this work I painted “veins” from paintbrush imprints.
Once dry, I followed the lines leading me to various beautiful tree structures which reminded me of genealogy trees hence its symbolic title.
Notice the differences in trees… its shape, height, width, it can easily be related to family structures. Feel free to use your life experience & creativity to interpret it accordingly.
Once again thank you so much for your support!

Perfection & life…

Imperfect beauty! ©copyright2015owpp

Imperfect beauty!
©copyright2015owpp

If perfect was the word we would not be waiting.
If it was this world nor would we be swaying…

But if hurt was our daily bread
Would we have soaked,
In that fiery sunset?
Yet it inhabits our homes,
Weaving the baskets of our minds,
Dancing the steps of our lives.
Holding our souls with the satisfaction
that comes with ownership.
Cradling patiently our bruised ego
Teaching us the wisdom of our ephemeral journey.
We glean, gather, stocking it in neat piles
going on, in hesitant faltering steps.
Sun scorched, hail or rain,
Hoping to trick an old parchment,
Letters seared in its thick skin…
——–
Having seen many alike
Wishing a trail filled with
Butterflies & vanishing ambushes…

Reality is a harsh teacher for joy & hurt intermingle.
They are the dough we roll, fashioning our spirit.

Perfect was never the word.
In this world.

And with all the painting, there’ll always be some room for gardening!

Yes, I stop painting in order to treat myself to some gardening 🙂
I try to plant every year different vegetables so as not to find it monotonous. I enjoy wondering if I’ll be up for the challenge & like to see the difference stages between one plant & the other.
The garlic survived the winter (in a pot!) but came out tiny. The carrots were very small & the cucumbers are growing but die off before they are fully grown.
As it’s all on our balcony growing in pots with natural fertilizers as eggshells… I do it as a hobby I truly enjoy aware that the end result is not the goal.
Happy weekend to all of you!
