Do you remember the time I had written a humoristic poem on the weird sprouted potatoes I had forgotten in my balcony for two months? (I still have to work on my photography category & insert the photos back in!) well, my potato plant experiment finally ended a few weeks ago & I decided to share the happiness & pride in my labor with you today… bear in mind that it was grown in a pot, I “babysat” it indoors once the cold settled in and not even organic fertilizers were used all along 🙂
It was more for the fun than the quantity gained (which wasn’t much) my grandchildren & I had a ball of a time guessing… creating suspense & wondering if anything had come out of it, for all we knew there could’ve been nothing under! The thrill of the surprise was one of these special moments we cherish deep inside for a long time…
They are super potatoes! Well done!
Thanks! I’m as proud as a peacock isn’t that ridiculous 🙂
Actually it was a load of fun…

That is so kind of you! Thanks for this light & cheerful feedback 🙂
I had a similar adventure with rotting tomatoes thrown into a flowerpot – they grew without asking permission, flowered and got fruit, my grandson has eaten it.
Wow! When I think how much ( I thought!) I was tending to it 🙂
Was it a big pot? Your grandson was probably thrilled by the outcome!
very great! good appetite.
Thanks! I appreciate 🙂
Ah, life. Wonderful!
Precisely! The freshness of your comment made me smile… There’s nothing like living it 🙂
A good looking crop. Bet they were tasty. My family farmed some potatoes – for us – when I was a teen. We had enough to last the winter. It was one of the few crops we grew. Tomatoes, too. Nothing better than fresh spuds, fruits and veggies. 😉
They have a much better taste indeed, it brings a whole lot of satisfaction with it too.
You probably will never forget the taste of those crops 🙂
Excellent! Congratulations! 😀
Thanks! You have my appreciation 🙂
amazing! groetjes 😉
Thank you for dropping by, I appreciate 🙂

Have a lovely 2014 week 😉
Brilliant, we should never give up on anything… And its surprising how many potatoes we missed from digging up last year, that have re-spouted and come up in the cabbage patch this year giving us a similar yield as your special potato…
We have many potatoes some huge ones and if you have not visited my Allotment Gallery you can see some of our crop here http://wp.me/P16xW7-Nn
🙂
I can’t believe you did all that! You must be very proud of yourself 🙂
I am very impressed! I might get then a surprise visit from potatoes next year…
Thanks for this comment 🙂
Well I helped do the weeding, and plant, the hard digging is all Hubbies work…. we have done it together.. 🙂
I’m rendered speechless… Amazing!
Hubby has more time now, as he retired 2 yrs ago, but was ill for a time, so this year I set about giving him a ‘Dig’ out LOL.. and we both enjoyed it so much as we motivated each other to keep the weeds down on a regular basis.. I am just going to upload in around 10 mins the last photo I took in November as he winter dug where we had the potatoes 🙂
Lovely! Looking forwards to seeing it 🙂
You can do so much even in a town with Pots on patio’s etc… I have grown Runner beans in pots, peas, strawberries, carrots, anything really.. You really can Grow your own anywhere with some TLC 🙂
That’s what I’m trying to do but it’s not always that easy…
What is TLC? My dilemma is not wanting to buy non-organic seeds and I can’t find them even online.
Tender Loving Care 🙂
Nice! I’ll start using that expression 🙂
