“Ascoltare e ripetere” is something I have heard very often twenty five years ago in my three years of Italian language studies. This poem was probably lying in my subconscious because the first words that popped into my minds for this poem was Ascoltare e scrivere which was not far from the classical audio tape’s repetitive phrase… as a result, it’s the first time I’m writing a poem in three languages. I hope the Italian version is correct, it took me some time to polish it 🙂
Let me know!
Fallen leaf
———
Listen & write the
Emotions that makes
The beating of your
Heart the quiver of
Your body as the
Fallen leaf from
The tree sinking
Back to earth in
Perpetual renaissance.
————–
Foglia caduta
————
Ascoltare e scrivere
Le emozioni che rende
Il battito del tuo
Cuore la faretra
Del tuo corpo come
La foglia caduta
Dall’albero naufragio
Di nuovo a terra in
Una rinascita perpetua
————-
Feuille tombée
————-
Ecouter et écrire
Les émotions qui
Produisent le
battement de ton
Coeur le frémissement
De ton corps comme
La feuille tombée
De l’arbre faisant
Naufrage vers la
Terre dans une
Renaissance perpetuelle

Lovely poem and clever you for speaking several languages … me I have all on getting English correct 😉
I am sure you are perfect with it 🙂
The problem with speaking many languages is never speaking one perfectly but it’s nice to brake down the barriers
