A book called Summer lightening by Tamara Mc Kinley inspired this…
Strangers reading you,
———————
Reading a good book sweeps you into
A whirlwind of strangers you love,
Weather soaking your skin, sweat
And tears mingling, creating a veil
Of numbness blotting out sounds…
Incessant claims nonetheless crawling
Back frazzling your protective shield.
Hoofs and horses, plains and dust,
Docksides, travelers, fleeing,
Spilling unto the burning sand,
Pages shift… projecting the lives
Of drifters unraveling…
Yours.

And as a coincidence, on my sidebar here’s what I just found!
Dreams are illustrations from the book your soul is writing about you.

So nice to be home again. Had a great trip and was just browsing Amazon for something new to read. What shows up in my inbox ?? … You with your sweet post. Thank you. Love the serendipity. Lisa
This is so weird! I was wondering a second before if you were still on holidays… Thanks for this kind comment, much appreciated 🙂
Welcome back!
This is so true…you’ve captured it well.
Thanks! That’s so kind 🙂
Lovely words, and nothing beats curling up with a good book!
Indeed! My kids call me a bookworm but I don’t thinks I’m as bad as that. Weekends and holidays are perfect for me to unwind in the evening with a really well written book. They just transports you elsewhere..
